Path of Exile is Coming to Xbox One!

This is the beginning of the end, right? Has any game survived the transition to console? It alters how the developers look at new content because they have to be sure it works on both platforms, so the console version ends up controlling everything that gets added to the game -- even if that's not the intention and the developers are certain it won't happen.

But.. Why? You can't even optimize your game for pc.

Seems a really odd choice, there's a bit of a disconnect in my head between POE being completely F2P and significant development work going into a version of the game that will likely not benefit supporters directly in any way. Chances are very few supporters would migrate to the Xbox and it doesn't introduce new players directly into PC realms. While it may be overall better for GGG to get a foothold with an entirely new audience, I'm cautious with any optimism given there may be a division of focus. The two player bases will probably not feel like one community if there are really any gameplay differences and I can't even imagine how trading would work on a console.

Most f2p pc games are dead when they port to console.
Get a nice end of life bump and then disappear completely.

game isnt even optimised on pc. id like to see how u will optimise it for xbox...pretty sure that there will be spikes like on a pc
