[2.6] Self-cast Bladefall or Blade Vortex - Farm Shaper, All Content
Following the guide with my first char this league. Things are going ok, I just have some random gear and a 4L Pledge of Hands. MOM really is awesome, doing t8-t9 maps with really bad gear and 4.3k HP and 3k mana - using arctic armor, temp chains is on a curse on hit CWDT gem.
Waiting for the price to drop on Hidden potential. What is the best way to get some decent magic gear once I get the jewel? Do you just roll alterations? I'm afraid that will get expensive really fast because you basically need perfect rolls, while on rares you are fine with 2-3 good rolls out of 6 at the beginning of the league. I still need to find 2 trials to get to uber lab but I'm confident this build will demolish Izaro. |

" Great! Some comments: 1. Try to 5L the Pledge of Hands with Bladefall/Blade Vortex - Poison - Concentrated Effect - Added Chaos - Controlled Destruction - it will make a huge DPS difference. 2. The Merciless Lab is the most important for 40% more damage - some general tips for the 3rd Lab: Get at least the Atziri's Flask for offense & leech. You can also get Witchfire flask (not too expensive - for more offense), and have Basalt flask for physical defense. I also swap in Healing flasks for trap rooms ahead of each Lab Boss fight to assist with traps and then swap back out with regular flasks & replenish right before the Boss fight. 3. Regarding Hidden Potential - you can save for later/last while farming for currency, waiting for prices to drop, and getting magic gear ready. The 1st option is to not craft from scratch using Alts - you should be able to find Magic gear on Poe.Trade for 2 rings, amulet, belt with Life and Resist(s). You'll want to aim for a minimum of 40 life and 65 resist for each magic item. If that's really hard, then just go with Hidden Potential on 2 rings, amulet and use the belt (and gloves) for rare items. |

All - have updated the passive trees, replacing the Blood Drinker passive node with the Revenge of the Hunted (2.6 buff) which provides more evasion & phys damage. This is a nice 2.6 buff.
Have also updated the leveling guide to show my equipment at Level 83 (completed Merciless Lab) - no end game equipment equipped yet (e.g. Pledge of Hands, Cospris, Hidden Potential). |

" Hey I was thinking of switching to this build to kill uber atziri but I did not see any videos above.. |

Updated Gear:
Got very lucky and found a Cospri's Will, then 6L'ed it. Bought a 6L pledge, but for some reason it doesn't feel as good as 2 obliterations. 2 obliteration feels faster for clear speed and still does fine for bosses. |

" Congrats on your 6L! I'm still grinding for those items. The 6L pledge of hands will make a MASSIVE difference as you scale damage/jewels/etc. When you start higher tier mapping and end-game content, it will be the single target damage that will be the bottleneck. Some tips: 1. Your gem set-up needs to be adjusted for the 6L pledge of hands: Bladefall, Void Manipulation, Added Chaos, Concentrated Effect, Controlled Destruction, Faster Casting Void Manipulation doesn't provide major tooltip DPS, but double-dips on poison/chaos damage. You can substitute AOE for Concentrated Effect, but didn't feel it was necessary. 2. Run with temp chains curse - it is not only a great defensive curse, but has a major effect on poison DPS. Run with level 3 or higher enhance on Enfeeble/Temp Chains for a measurable improvement on curse effect. 3. Start transitioning to Hidden Potential - major DPS increase once enabled. 4. Get Atziri's flask & Witchfire Brew (pretty cheap now) flasks - both mandatory for DPS as you get to higher end content. 5. Jewels also have a serious effect on end game DPS. Try to get at an average of 2 of these (double-dipping modifiers) for every jewel: Area Damage, Chaos Damage, Increased Damage. Last edited by atlassound#3044 on Mar 9, 2017, 8:32:13 AM

my actual gear i just bought the cospris and made it 5L and i switched to the shaper tree cause get 4 OFF colours in a 5L would be a pain in the ass playing t10 with no problem at all already made: atziri normal, merc lab, t11-t12 i feel like the talisman im using is a complete BiS, there is another way to get another curse? what do you think? good guide! PS: my jewels are: -hidden potential -area dmg + double res -area dmg + cold res + life -area dmg + double res + life -chaos dmg + double res Last edited by gasparoto1#1180 on Mar 9, 2017, 3:58:59 PM

question:
since getting a blue +1 curse amulet seems impossible early in the league, will be nice to use a talisman like i linked before, and save the points in the shadow start (shaper tree) and put them in whisper of doom? ( the same points in both paths) what do you think? |

" Thanks! Regarding Jewels - not bad for a start! I'd focus on slowing swapping out the +res modifier on jewels to +damage (chaos or area damage or damage) as you squeeze out more resists on equip. It's not easy but you can do it gradually. |
|
" Good idea as a temporary solution - worth it as the witchfire vulnerability flask is the highest performing DPS flask (double that of the Atziri flask). I was able to find a decent enough +1 curse rare amulet as a temporary route. |
