I've been waiting PoE to run smooth for the past 4 years. Probably will never happen, sadly.
Could you at least remove the grounds effects from the game until you can actually make them properly. :(

U and others with potatoes can QQ and wait one more year to make it "half aniversary" and then consider to buy a new rig ;) Or get it now, stfu and enjoy the game. Simple as that

Sounds like a potato to you? Still go down to 20-30fps just from ground effects alone.
@Vrock: It does not :) maybe the upcoming update will work for us with good GPUs, will see. But I can tell you one thing, not a single game is perfect in all aspects. Even company like Blizz had/have performance issues with Diablo 3 and their budget is what 1000x more $$$ ? And they actually sell that game. Poe is free to play pretty much. So I dont get the whining of ppl. They should be thankfull for every little improvement or content.

First off, where is your proof? What do you ground these claims on?
GGG actually answered why they don't give us some graphics options, and that is because turning these lower would give no real benefit to the playability of the game. They know, that players would still turn everything down to improve their fps by 5%, making the game look awfull, making the game bad rep.
So the argument stands, not that a shitty looking game would give bad rep, but that these options wouldn't give shit.
It's called wave because there will be multiple, and only because you see one thing on the list that's been added, I don't believe 99% of people know what work was required, how many "multiple" things they had to do to implement this.
It is possible that the directx11 shadow option wouldn't fall under before mentioned argument, and it would actually give a 10% fps increase on their custom engine. If this was the case, only GGG's people would know or professionals, programmers that work on these/similar things. You don't sound like one so I assume you read this claim somewhere else and took it as your own.

and what's wrong with that? for example i prefer a very good playability instead of some graphics and effects. dx11 was a great improve but unfortunately have the same or worse performance than dx9 cause i cannot down anything. and personally think shadows make game annoying.
many players have that feelling . 5 ,10% more fps isn't bad for some and i'm sure the game will have more players with a option menu for dx11 . some friends don't play the game only for the low performance and not precisely caused by potato pcs
Adding propper advanced graphical options would be nice plan for 2017.
I am a bit skeptical about this, as I assume that this would mean to completely rewrite the core systems.

It would be good non the less.

Btw, time to try ReshadeFX if the performance improvements won't tank it.
