[2.6] The Curse Whisperer - Tri-Curse CI Whispering Ice Berserker - Viable for Everything

^ Exactly. Right now we are pretty much in uncharted territory with lots of new possibilities to try. New gear options, new Pantheon powers, new gem combos, tree pathing, balance between DPS and Life, etc. The CI version took many months to polish.

Have a link to the beta version you are currently trying?

I'm leveling a marauder atm to use as a high life/MoM caster, and would like to compare.

there might be more to come, but it still is and will remain a fact that the CI version of this build was more point-efficient since less points into ES were needed. all passives going into life are not going into int and thus hurt our damage. the key synergy is gone, and no pantheon power nor any new gem or tree optimisation will bring it back. and this build was already using exclusively very effective more multiplier gems. rather unlikely that new gems would offer a big improvement over the gems we already have in use.

so some optimisation aside, the only hope for a big change for the better IMHO lies in unpublished uniques that offer some groundbreaking mechanic.

about optimisation: on a life-based version of this build, going for xoph's blood might be worth it, at least in terms of damage and ehp. it provides life, res, 10% fire penetration (more valuable on a berserker than on a witch), lets us save 1-2 passive points by providing avatar of fire, and provides the ash debuff which makes enemies who have recently hit us take 20% increased fire damage (and slows them on top of that).

One of the key synergies is gone, not all of them. Welcome to the world of nerfs. The most efficient things get nerfed. Many things got nerfed in PoE over the years.

Every time a new MORE multiplier arrives, it's always big. I'm playing around with Arcane Surge right now. It's getting tweaked and was nerfed a bit already during beta, but it's just an example. And don't knock the Pantheon either. With the most efficient version you had to spend some resources to deal with stun and freeze. And now there is the Brine King.

But losing ~100 BASE Int will hurt a LOT. I doubt it'll be worth it. Thanks for the idea though. We need to take a look at all relevant uniques.
I've reached T16 on Beta. Lv 90, 1430 Int, 4.1k Life + 1.2k free mana for MoM, some gems are lv 20 now.

Beta test 2: Blind Minotaur

T16 maps are insanely rare and expensive on Beta. And this is my 1st T16 map, don't want to take any risks, so I went with harmless mods + corruption for the Atlas. Turned out that was way too much respect for Mino. On the other hand, I forgot to swap IR for EF :)

Lv 38, as soon as CwC is available. Sunder is fine until then.
Can you still use Doedre's to proc Savage Hits, or are we above -50% chaos?

Edit:I guess it might have to go through MoM too, might need to test to be sure.

The new version of Soul Tether basically adds ES to Life for the Life version of the build. The other mods make sure you can't use it with CI (well, technically you can, but any damage will kill you when not leeching). That's an interesting option, depending on your gear. If you find a lot of ES and resists on AR/ES gear, you can sacrifice the life and resists (and any Int above 40) on a good crafted leather belt to get more EHP.

It remains to be seen how common/rare this belt will be.
