[2.6] CI HoWA ST - Uber / Shaper / Guardians Down - Budget Friendly?
Currently testing out the build, what build has the better DPS output? ST + Faster Attacks or ST + Added Lightning Damage?
Thanks in advance! |

" Try using culling strike instead of slower projectiles in a situation like this. You'd have a large range and be able to leech constantly. From League Starter to Shaper – Cheap, Tanky, Fast and Fun Physical ST – Very Detailed Guide

" You can also cheese your way through some encounters using faster projectiles instead of slower proj and staying at considerable range. Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD

" I think someone was saying earlier that they're both same for dps but he felt faster attacks made gameplay feel smoother with the build. I think I'm about to try out Added Lightning Damage since I have the colors on my 6L and don't feel like rerolling for faster attacks rn. |

Just to add to the "oh shit" situation solvers, you can also slot multiple Vaal Disc for fights were you know shit will likely hit the fan, such as the aforementioned Phoenix fight. It buys you a little more time to get closer and start leeching again. It has even helped me survive bleeds long enough to refill.

Could anyone suggest what changes I could make to my Lvl89 CI ST HoWA to improve it?
I don't think I've followed everything in the build guide to the letter, so if there's anything I could have done that would have made my character stronger, I'd appreciate it being pointed out. https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/heisenbergman/characters Thanks! (fwiw - I currently have 187c so if I need to upgrade / acquire any items, that would be my budget. Thanks!) |

"Quite a bit of room to improve here. - Q20 all your main gems. It's worthwhile to use the vendor recipe to Q20 them and just level them again if you're on a budget. - Q20 your flasks. If you're going to use Primeval Force, you want your flasks to last as long as possible. - Swap the Evasion and Energy shield node below Coldhearted calculation with the INT node just to the right of it. - If you're going to go for Primeval Force, I'd suggest dropping Arcing blows and using those 3 points for Alchemist instead. - I'd swap out your jewel near Vaal Pact for another Fertile Mind. - Drop your Basalt flask for the Wise Oak. That will likely cover your resistances as well, and means you can drop the purity of elements. - Grab a vaal grace and a vaal haste, link them with an increased duration. - Gear could use some upgrades. Upgrading to 30/12/12 claws will make a big difference. Helmet needs more INT and more ES. Rings could use more INT. Belt can use more elemental damage. Chest is probably good enough. That's probably not everything, but it'll give you something to work for for the next few days, anyway. ;) Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD

Great! Exactly the kind of post I was hoping for. That gives me a lot to do. Thanks.

I do not understand why all the LMP gem gives a big increase to the damage .. for me it increases the damage by only 4,000

How much ES should I shoot for (I would like to do Shaper)? Currently, I have roughly 9.5k ES but at the expense of taking ES nodes over damage.
What is the general consensus on the flask nodes: Primal Spirit, Druidic Rite, Alchemist? Currently, I am specced for Primal Spirit and Druidic Rite, and the uptime on my Vinktar is a nice quality of life change, but not sure if worth tbh. Last edited by subiedude8#6901 on Apr 10, 2017, 9:28:27 AM
