[2.5] CI Spectral Throw Claw Raider, Hand of Wisdom and Action.
" The first tree is better with worse gear and thus works better as a starting base. The second tree works better with better gear, one of the main difference is the fact that the second tree works around having a level 3 Enlighten atleast. The clearspeed is probably worse than Ngamahu's but not by much, just the natural disadvantage of ST meaning you have to stand still to attack and Cyclone being a movement skill while attacking. As for ST vs BF, it's probably about the same. 10k+ ES with 5Ex could be a little tricky to get a hold of while affording the mandatory items for the build, and you'd definitely be on a 5l with that budget. But you'll be able to clear all the way up to T15's with that kind of budget super easily, the guardians and shaper might require some more investment though. |

How would an elementalist compare vs raider? anyone tried it?

Build is pretty good. The Shaper's Touch is deceptively weak, but after flasks, it shows it's true strength. The only downside with the Shaper is it's very low ES and lack of resist, stat, and/or attack speed. However, Shaper provides the needed accuracy.
The important aspect of the build is definitely Intelligence and +Elemental/Lightning damage. Attack speed and Strength are extras. Attack time around 0.25-0.27 is good enough, while 80 Strength is the minimum you can get to use Red gems. I built the passive tree very differently than the one in the guide. I took the Elemental Damage, Lightning Damage, and Lightning Walker passives in favour of 30 Int, 10 dex, and 20 Ele. damage. Taking Lightning Walker gives a more balanced build because it provides both damage and resist compared to flat lightning damage and attack speed (HoWA) with Trickery +Int passives. At +20 quality gems linked, with most of them level 19 – as well as 0 quality level 17 Wrath and level 19 Lightning Golem – I deal 21K damage minus flasks, frenzy, and Elemental Overload. Adding flask, 6 Frenzies, and Elemental Overload, I get 62K dps. I use the flasks below. Using Sulphur Flask in place of Taste of Hate is a good cheap option. Taste of Hate will replace the Sapphire Flask to get as much +% damage as much as possible. With 7 frenzies and 20/20 gems, I can see the dps going up to 65k after flask effects and buffs. I am also planning on optimising my skill tree to cut the +30 Strength node so that I can get the flask effect nodes. Build currently looks like this. Will get flask effects next. Finished build will be level 91. DPS with Shaper and +Attack Speed gloves

No Frenzy, onslaught, Elemental Overload and flasks. With lvl 17 Wrath and lvl 19 Lightning Golem: No flasks and onslaught. With 6 Frenzy charges and Ele.Ov. With lvl 17 Wrath and lvl 19 Lightning Golem: With flasks and onslaught. With 6 Frenzy charges and Ele.Ov. With lvl 17 Wrath and lvl 19 Lightning Golem: The weakest aspect of the build (or the most tenuous part) is leveling and getting the first 4 ascendancy points. At lower levels, I grab Written in Blood, Melding, and the nearby jewel socket, placing an Energy from Within jewel in it, to get as much ES before going CI. After that, I took all +Damage nodes, sockets, and Frenzy. I finished normal and cruel lab at levels 35 and 58. This was possible because of defense provided by the aforementioned ES nodes. Did merc and uber at levels 70 and 85. After transitioning to CI, respec Written in Blood and Meldin in favour of other ES and damage nodes. The build comes online at level 58-60 after acquiring 2 HoWAs. From then on, I focused on getting resist, ES, and Int. Another weakness of this build is mana. I had a mana flask till I was level 64 because of the very low mana leech and the Gain on Kill was unreliable at that time. |
