[2.6] Classic Crit Autoherald Bomber - perfect for Lake to Strand farming
" Basically the mechanics of the build are as follows: 1. you start up Herald of thunder by shocking and killing an enemy. 2. Herald of thunder Crits and kills an enemy while freezing them (due to added cold). 3. Death of the frozen enemy causes Herald of Ice to Proc, and crits, killing and freezing nearby enemies 4. Herald of Ice explosions propagate from the initial Kill, causing the whole pack to die from a cluster of Herald of ice explosions 5. Because Herald of Ice shocks and kills (from added lightning), Herald of thunder refreshes and continues to kill nearby enemies, continuing the chain. Go to step 2. For late game, it will start to slow down in red maps, but below that, most white packs will shatter instantly and blues/rares/bosses can be dealt with though vaal storm call. |

What are your thoughts on running the 3.5% crit gloves instead of the gloves of hysteria?
Do you think the extra fire dmg is worth giving up the 3.5% base crit? I've been running mine with the crit gloves and have HOI - HOT - Added lightning - crit chance as my 4 socket in the gloves. Both HOI and HOT have about 70% chance to crit (without assasins mark / but with power charges) Not having the increased AOE gem only slows down your clear speed slightly in my experience. ( if you take all of the increased radius nodes on the tree). I'm also running blasphemy + warlords for a huge boost in survivability. I run HOI, HOT, Warlords and discipline and still have just enough mana left over to run my 5L freezing pulse for generating power charges and helping with single target DPS. Anyways, just wondering what your thoughts were on the above variation and if you've tried it or had any feedback! ~Cheers Last edited by Nishtha#5956 on Jan 29, 2017, 1:53:13 AM

" If you use those gloves and substitute added crit with added cold the damage should still be less than the hysteria gloves. It might be more with crit multi, however. At any rate, going above %50-60 crit with power charges might be redundant especially with HoI, as you should be one shotting mobs and critting every single first hit due to ambush. Once you get high enough crit chance, flat added damage and crit multiplier are some of the few remaining ways in which to scale your damage to oneshot mobs. Building the build for survival is tough, but at any rate you should be fine as long as you are oneshotting packs. |

I don´t want to hate on this build or anything , but it´s not exactly cheap even though what´s considered cheap is subjective.
But you would need around 200chaos to get this build started on BHC. Again i don´t want to badmouth this build, and a lot of people are gonna be like : "200C is cheap.wtf you talkin bout" , but for me it´s not. It´s actually a big investment for a build that´s not able to clear endgame content. But it is what is is. The OP said it´s purpose is to be a more affordable alternative to vaal spark builds and that was achieved. Also i don´t know how expensive the items were at the time of the creation of this build. Doryanis cost 80C each, the amulet costs 30C. So yeah. Another build i can´t do bc i´m still broke ^^ |

" Thanks for the follow-up! I will definitely grab a pair of hysteria gloves then and try changing a few things around. Since i've got your attention... Any advice on taking on Uber labs? Can't carry any vaal spells into the fight and he just wrecks me every damn time when i reach is 2nd or 3rd form. Last edited by Nishtha#5956 on Jan 31, 2017, 1:49:08 PM

" get your ass carried lel. You might have to ask in chat if noone are doing carries in open parties |

" Dorianyis Seem to be a little expensive in HC, sorry bud. I think the same build would only take 30-80 chaos (if you choose to pick up horror helm/hysteria gloves) at most currently in softcore. Although, honestly I wouldn't recommend this build in HC without a vinktars and vaal pact, which would increase the cost of this build even more. |

My current setup has power charges(7), frenzy charges(5), and onslaught sustained automatically through the highest map tiers. 6.5K life, acrobatics, vaal pact, and everything is capped including chaos resist when Atziri's Promise is up.
Herald of Thunder|Increased Crit|Added Cold|PCoC ... in Horror craft helm. Herald of Ice|Cold Pen|Added Lightning|Innervate ... in Horror craft gloves. Lvl 20 Lightning Bolt from Choir. Also, I'm using The Green Dream/Nightmare jewel in the Templar area to give me 12% on kill to generate frenzy charges, which is more than enough for how quickly it clears, but it isn't necessary at all. One can either drop onslaught for ice bite or simply not invest in frenzy charges at all and use the points and sockets for extra damage and be nearly as strong. The down side is you don't get the 20% more multiplier on Flameblast damage and ignite. The key I found was lots of jewel slots to stack life, crit multi, and dual resist/all resist because lightning resist doubles as crit chance due to Voice/Choir. Now, I've been stress testing this build for the last few weeks to see if it can be made fully HC viable and/or reliably do to Ubers, Guardians, and Shaper. In order to be HC viable you have to use Voice of the Storms not Choir because the lvl 20 Lightning bolt will eventually kill you on reflect. Also, you'll absolutely need the leech enchant on boots. The bosses are all very doable but it requires different single target setups to deal with the ignite immune and persistent damage type fights. I use CwC setups for Firestorm mostly in those situations and it does O.K. |

Added my version here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bv0KkhBTM1A
It uses Aberrath's Fury to generate power charges with power charge on crit gem. |

How viable would these be just as an early league lake farmer or would VSpark still be the optimal choice just to gain some currency
