more useless crap lol.. "make the regular in game styles absolute crap so people who enjoy the mechanics of our game have to spend retarded amounts of cash to look half decent"
prices are high for visually looking better.. at least make in game gear look decent with out having to buy this crap for 45$ an armor set
That is precisely their business model, yes. And, btw, there's nothing wrong with it. You play the game to enjoy the gameplay, not look pretty. If you really want to look pretty as well, then be prepared to cough up. It's not a gameplay advantage. They said they wouldn't ever go pay2win (and don't even bother with the tired old stash tab argument), not that they were a charity.
not asking for p2w.. asking for maybe a reasonable price for some of these visuals.. cause all ingame non shop bought gear looks like shit lol. and I get they are making money.. but 200 pts for an armor.. come on that's 20$
if it was like 5$ or something reasonable I would cough it up but that's robbery considering iv already dropped 80$ in stash tab stuff (price of a regular game)
That's a business decision. They do what makes them the most money. Many people have asked for the same before as well, actually - the reasoning being that they'd make more sales if they lowered the prices. I'm not sure if their choice of sticking to high prices is the right one either, but evidently they still think so. As I don't have access to their accounts or cash flow data, I can't really comment on whether they're right or not. It is still well within their stated ethical limits, though.

I agree, they are mostly for the male characters (male armour). Would like to see more feminine mtx's for Witch, Ranger, Scion. Actually the Ranger looks like a man, I guess she can wear male armour.
Fyi, people have asked actual armorsmiths what 'female' armor might look like (usually in response to the ridiculous female armor you see in fantasy games whose sole purpose seems to be reveal as many weakspots on their bodies as possible). The consensus answer is that it wouldn't look any different from male armor. The thing is that metal armor (as opposed to modern armor that uses more flexible materials) isn't custom fit. There's typically even some space inside between the person and the plate, unless the person is particularly bulky. By the time you get into one of those armor sets, all trace of your gender has been wiped out. You literally would not be able to tell a female soldier from a male one if they're completely covered up (a fact that has been played up on occasion in fiction where a woman sneaks into an army to fight by donning a full suit of armor so no one can identify her as female). As such, the women in PoE would actually probably be right at home wearing exactly the same stuff as the men.
The vast majority of people aren't concerned about "realistic" armour in a fantasy video game. The game is overflowing with gear of that style as is if thats what you prefer. Also, lots of the cosmetic armor has unrealistic things built into it as is, this set for example clearly has a six pack etched into the metalwork. Nothing wrong with that, it makes it look nice, and this is a cosmetic we are talking about. I don't think its too much of a jump to ask for "feminine" looking cosmetics. I tend to agree that most of these armours, when fully worn, classes become pretty indistinguishable.

I'm not saying they shouldn't do it, merely pointing out that it is indeed fantasy i.e. that there isn't really such a thing as female armor. Or male, for that matter (it's really just gender-neutral box). Well, except for codpieces. Those are most definitely male.
P.S.: Inb4 ppl start demanding GGG add codpieces. ;)

This, believe it or not, is a thing.

While I agree with your sentiment that we should not view GGG as a charity, there is nothing tired about that particular argument. The most basic definition of pay2win accepted by many people is "paying for anything that gives a gameplay advantage."
Inventory management is a HUGE part of gameplay in PoE, and additional stash tabs (I'm not even talking about premium ones) save players a lot of time in a game where wealth acquisition per hour is really the only measure of how much you "win."

Loved the new MTXs, I'm just kinda sad that almost all MTXs that are armor related are "Warrior" types, I would love to see (and spend the hell out of my money on it lol) more Mage types of MTXs, robes, dresses, capes, cloaks, I feel a lack of Mage love on the MTX section xD
Those back attatchments are a must have o_o
Yes, I totally agree with that. Mages/capes/darkness/gothic/EVIL armours sets would be amazing!! You don't need to make only warriors armours sets GGG.
very cool back attatchments btw. And cool pet.
Hydra set + hydra back attachment = fucking yes! :)
