You do calculate wrong.

Why is the release 11k and not 10k * 6?

Just to confirm, say you released after 3 hits, your damage is three hits and a release, so 5 + 6 + 7 + 7?

Skill description doesn't specify whether the "additional strike" at the end includes a ""20% more" multiplier or not.

It's the 6th stack. At first hit you have 0 stack and hit normally.

No, if you realesed after 3 hits, the release deals 3*dmg with stack 4 multiplier (because after your third hit you've gained the 4th stack). Pretty much what hyper_ch said - you begin with 0 stacks, not with 1 stack.


0 stacks -> hit 1 -> 0% more dmg -> gain stack 1
1 stacks -> hit 2 -> 20% more dmg -> gain stack 2
2 stacks -> hit 3 -> 40% more dmg -> gain stack 3
3 stacks -> hit 4 -> 60% more dmg -> gain stack 4
4 stacks -> hit 5 -> 80% more dmg -> gain stack 5
5 stacks -> hit 6 -> 100% more dmg -> gain stack 6
6 stacks -> release -> 6*120% more dmg -> lose all stacks

The release itself doesn't add any stacks, so

4 stacks -> hit 5 -> 80% more dmg -> gain stack 5
5 stacks -> hit 6 -> 100% more dmg -> gain stack 6
6 stacks -> hit 7 -> 120% more dmg -> remain stack 6
6 stacks -> hit 8 -> 120% more dmg -> remain stack 6
6 stacks -> release -> 6*120% more dmg -> lose all stacks

8k Energy Shield (Its not a problem for me)

I have died only 5 times from 80-90, but I have not done Uber Atziri, Guardians, or Shaper.
