Hello!

I decided to make a knitted entry for this competition.
I also took the photos and edited them myself.

Materials:
Yarn
Fiber Filling
Fabric Markers
Weeks of my time
Sheer force of will to make a plushie without a pattern
Sacrifice of actual game time (I haven't figured out how to knit and play PoE at the same yet)

My WANDERING EYE plushie!!
Additional Wandering Eye Photos

With a 14 pound cat for size Reference

Detail Shots

Work In Progress Shots

I knitted the follow:
1. An entire skein of red worsted yarn into cord.
2. A tapered tube to use as the core out of the same red worsted yarn.
3. Various spheres to use as eyeballs made out of cream chunky yarn.

After getting all the eyeballs sewn on I knitted various rectangles to help create more bulk. I also like how when I pinned all the pieces down it looked like a squid attacking a pack of eyeballs. LOL

The cord was pinned down and sewn to create texture

Pupils were added to the eyeballs

Fabric markers were used to add details that create a greater sense of depth to the piece

Good luck to all the contestants. There is so much talent in this community.

Hello this is my entry to the Path of Exile Talent Competition.

Atlas Glass Engraving/Lamp

Edit: 5 more pics

Details

Work in progress
Yes 24 hours for the engraving ( not including failures :) )

Rambling of the craftsman ( totally optional )
This atlas map engraving/lamp is created with engraved 3mm glass, soldered copper wire frame, spray painted back and LED strip light.

The engraving was done on cheap laser engraver from china that technically should not engrave glass :/
What you see here is the third time the machine engraved the map. In total the laser engraved for 64 hours for me to end with this atlas map. It took a lot try and error and with true HC fashion I had to reset to the beginning and start all over again :)

The competition inspired me to create something that I have never done before and expand my skills.
Thank you to all the staff of GGG for the opportunity you give us.

This is my entry for the talent competition. It's a monster idea- mechanically modified skeleton inspired a little by lightning armor mtx.

Spoiler
Hi, this is my entry for the talent competition :)

Greetings POE community!
An engineer in profession but a baker at heart, I made a tribute to perhaps the most killed boss in the entire game: Dried Lake Voll.
It is made 3D, using only gingerbread and icing. No cuts have been made to the gingerbread after baking (though my little cousin knocked it over once so the Brittle Emperor had a multiple arm frature and the flag on his back had to be remade with what I had left).
Fortunately though, I managed to fix it with some electromagnetic sensor holders, duct-tape, tweezers and a lot, lot more icing.
It is about 22 cm in height (there is a photo with a Kindle Keyboard for scale).

Enjoy!

The Thousandth Death

A Path of Exile Short Story

Shadowrope hid behind a pillar. He made sure that none of his skill gems were loose in their sockets and that the grooves in his daggers held enough poison for the grim venture ahead. Once he was satisfied, he glanced to the left, distracted by the constant zipping of his ice golem. The damned thing was making too much noise. 'I should never have gotten it in the first place.' he thought, but quickly shrugged the thought aside. What was done was done and there was no room for regrets.

He jumped out from his hiding place, quickly surveying the layout of the long narrow hallway in front of him, rushing the nearest skelleton, his daggers drawn. Why did it always have to be skelletons? Stabbing them never made a satisfying sound. He'd have to settle for the sound of bones rattling down to the floor as whichever force binding them together dissipated on contact with his skill-gem-enhanced weapons.

He mostly slashed at them, letting the momentum of his attacks drag him forward, gliding from one to the next, going for a stab whenever he found a piece of bone wide enough to accomodate his blade.
While Shadowrope's body was performing the deadly dance trough the half-light of the corridor, his eyes searched the gloom for the source of the neverending horde of undead.
'There!' He saw the necromancer muttering in the corner, reanimating long dead bones and sending them forward.
He whirled towards it, his daggers held ready for a synchronized stab. One should be enough, but he was going for two. One into each side of the creature's chest.

His attack flew true and he felt the blades sink into flesh. His moment of satisfaction, however, was quickly interuppted by a sharp pain in his own.
"No!" he muttered. "Not again!"
He fell to his knes, looking down at two puncture wounds, mirroring the ones he had just made on the necromancer.

He let his daggers clatter to the floor and clawed at his belt for the life flask hanging there, but it was too late.

As his soul left his body for the thousandth time, he had a strange vision of himself fishing on the bank of a river. He was calm...

Update: It happened!
I made a video to commemorate it. I think the song is weirdly appropriate.
Enjoy. x)

Avert thy gaze, child!

Hi GGG,

you are looking for talents, maybe ideas for new skills or weapons. Here is what I would do.

So let me tell you something about my talent or hobby. As a fire artist I'm spinning with Pois. Two balls at the end of chains spinning all around my self and others. Originally coming from New Zealand as a kind of dance and fighting style. Compareable with some of technics of the shaolin monks, but by far not on their level. But also for entertainment.

With high needs of dexterity and intelligence the mastering of burning pois is perfectly suited for the RPG world. With coordination and focus you can hit enemies very hard or entertain viewers. There are a lot of other fire juggling toys that could be adapted double staff etc.

I would love to see a Marauder swinging a two handed version or the Duelist doing it the dual way. :D

Some impressions can be found online: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEhOGDc0edo But there is a lot more.

Greetings from Germany,
Bastian
