(3.0)Berserker Ngamahu's Flame Cyclone(Breach Destroyer)

Hey! If i'm running HoA + Flammability, is it better to run Fire pen Sup or Elemental Focus? I have the point blank node.

Elemental Focus is the stronger gem but Molten Burst cannot ignite (HoA still ignites with Overkill Damage).

We have 38% penetration from gear and tree by default (48% if you're lucky with your Boots enchant ;). Even with the reduced curse effectiveness on bosses we achieve negative Fire Resistance with Flammability against pretty much any boss in the game... unless we play a map with increased Elemental Resistances.
Just a quick question. What about running arctic armour with this as that lowers the amount of fire damage we take right. Would that help with eke reflect?
Not one bit. Damage mitigation from AA is only available while stationary.
Oh guess I didn't notice that. Thanks
Other than investing eight passives to get Ash, Frost and Storm there is very little we can do in terms of reflect damage mitigation. Running Purity of Fire (instead of HoA) and Ruby Flasks are our only options, and even then things can get a bit dicey. Best policy is to avoid elemental reflect maps altogether. ;)
Another question does taste of hate work for late game with avatar of fire? Or just work for physical mitigation.
AFAIK it works... in a way. You will gain 10-20% of phys dmg as extra cold dmg from ToH, half of which Avatar will convert into Fire Damage, the other half, however, will be lost. Can't test this right now as I don't have one. ;)
Hey peeps, trying to minmax on rings. For this build, should I go steel ring and roll flat phys/weapon ele damage? Or go opal rings and go weapon ele/fire damage to attacks/%fire damage? I understand one helps clone and other helps meatballs too; anyone research this and know what gives stronger weights? Thanks!
All of the above (Physical Damage to Attacks, Weapon Elemental Damage, Elemental Damage implicit on Opal Rings, and Fire Damage to Attacks) will increase both Cyclone and Molten Burst damage. IAS on rings (quite rare) will increase Cylone DPS only but not Molten Burst "damage per use". However, increased attack speed means more MB procs.

Ultimately, the Opal Ring is the better base (especially with Xoph's Blood) but it all depends on the rest of the rolls. ;)

Edit: Just compared perfect base Opal (25% incr elemental) and Steel Rings (4-14 flat phys) and the Opal Ring comes out ahead in both cases. 160 more DPS with Cyclone, 120 more DPU with Molten Burst, small margins in the grand scheme of things, but still... as I said it all depends on the other stats you get on the ring.
