[2.6] Fire Burst Burning Prolif CI Elementalist ✪ Low Budget/Fast ClearSpeed/Shaper viable

I arrived at point where every upgrade to my gear would cost me around 40c, would it be clever to go for a 20 quality elemental weakness gem (gives an additional -10% to enemy resists) first? Resist should work like a "more" multiplier, or am I wrong here?

Negative resistance work as more modifier.

calculation example

Total-150%Fire resistance debuff to 30%Fire resistance enemy
30-150=-120%
Initial hit deal 120% more damage.(=*2.2)
Generated ignite is also boosted by negative resistance.
2.2*2.2=4.84
Ignite deal 384% more damage

So Elemental Weakness gem quality is very important.

what do you mean too dangerous?

btw would spell echo be viable with ball lightning in our 5l instead of like maybe increased aoe to make the clearing faster? 2 balls more chance to cause procs right?


Too dangerous for the reflect, with 11k500 ES I manage to not OS myself with reflect, but with Conc Effect I won't survive. You can use it on swap against bosses if you don't use VRF ( but why not using VRF ? )

I started with spell echo, but removed it because it slows you down in term of clear speed and you are less mobile which is kinda dangerous against bosses. Instead of spell echo you have to use AoE ( and lmp if you really want to increase your coverage but it's fine without it ).

could you do this as life? with a kaom's and a 4link for lightning ball?

edit: actually a carcass jack would make more sense

PoF20 : 25/21=1.19=19% more EHP against fire damage(=*1.19)
Life will be 5k~5.5k.(6~6.5k with Kaom)
About half of CI version ES.
0.5*1.19=0.595
40% less EHP against reflected fire damage.

Life version has many problem.
It need many skill point than CI.
Gem socket problem is very serious with Kaom.

I think Life version has no advantage in this build.
Nice build and I like how OP stayed humble the entire time (read through all 11 pages).
I was originally planning on doing an EO version with bow + rearguard but after seeing Op's comparison on the base damage of fire burst vs flameblast, I believe crit will be the way to go.

How do you achieve 86% crit chance? Assume lv21 crit chance gem it'd be 7 base and ~1100 inc crit from tree, gear and power charges. 360 from tree, 250 from staff, 250 from charges. There's another ~240 missing. Voidbringers? Diamond rings?

I know how diamond flask works and I only need 70+ crit to be near capped but I just want to make sure VRF crits.

Also VRF links? Crit - crit damage - Conc Effect - fire pen - leech? Or controlled destruction over crit damage? Or you run vinktar without leech gem?
