Hey guys, can I get your opinion on my weapon? I'm currently using:
In BHC, I can buy a 280pdps dagger for roughly 45c or a Binos for 15c. The rare dagger will give me an additional 30pdps, but I miss out on crit chance, multi and the aoe poison. If it makes any difference, I'm using Death's Hand. Any other advice on my gear would be much appreciated! (I think my profile is set to public now). |

" No crit chance. Binos should easily beat that. What your crit chance with max power charges using that thing? Base crit 6.6% vs 9.9% is massive when you scale it up. I bet you're like 65% crit. Death's hand seems like a risk in hardcore... especially with breaches. I would start leveling an Enlighten. I've never liked Auxium and I don't think it's necessary since you have flasks to manage that. If you want extra leech I would recommend crafting it on gloves or finding it on jewels. You could also use Blood Rage and weapon swap to disable it for some leech, but that seems risky in hardcore with potential lag. CWDT + Ice golem is risky in chain maps in hardcore. Be wary. I would recommend a lvl 20 Ice Golem to self cast in chain maps. Related to this... I personally use CWDT Firestorm and have died in hardcore to lightning thorns because of it. Shavronne and Promenade boss are the main users of thorns. Blackguard witches used to cast it but they might have patched that out. First off, I misspoke, I'm actually in BSC.
Alright so I bought a cheap Bino for 10c and tested it out: (dps, crit chance, crit multi) Rare w/o power charges (1773, 25%, 279%) Bino w/o power charges (1793, 35%, 299%) Rare w/ power charges (3233, 57%, 319%) Bino w/ power charges (3346, 74%, 339%) You're absolutely right, the Bino's was a massive upgrade with a 17% jump in crit chance and 20% crit multi. Keep in mind I bought the cheapest Bino I could find so theres potential for an additional 9% increase crit chance, 5% crit multi and some pdps. Weapons for reference: |

" You should never use Efficient Training jewel. Ever. None of those conversion jewels are worth using. Get a rare jewels that gives you strength if you need it. All of that int could be giving you energy shield. Also, Assassination and the other power charge is a ton of missing damage on your tree. Force Shaper doesn't compare at all to these nodes. It took two jewels to swap out efficient training and I had to delevel my warlord's mark and ancestrial warchief but its done. Gained just under 200 ES from that. Also, I've been following this guide pretty closely. I'm not sure how I missed Assassination, but that will be my next two points. Thanks for all the help ffhighwind!

I'm doing a slightly different passive tree and it works great. Just got the final pieces of gear together and started doing 13+ maps.
Would a 280-300pdps dagger be worth the 5-8 ex? Is it worth the upgrade from bino's? I've been using this build for a bit now, slightly different skill tree but very similar. This build doesn't really start to shine till you get around 8k ES as this really lets you leech huge amounts of health and heal up fast even from the big hits.

" This build's defence is the amount of energy shield you can get. It just sits in front of mobs butt naked and insta leeches. No armor no evasion no block no nothing. It's dps is depending on the weapon rings and amulet. With a bino's i have 5.8k tooltip in hideout with hatred - herald of ash. |
