This my planned tree-ish

Can you tell me your design choices?

Also, according to vorici calculator, its gonna take me approx 600 chromes for this.. we shall see.. i think 600 in std is, well, std, so ill try this out later :D

well my design choices include 19 less passives (a realistic number of 99, rest can go into w/e else you want).

mainly you don't want to focus only physical damage if you're doing chaos/poison version. because chaos damage will boost both your original hit and the poison afterwards, where as physical damage will only boost the physical damage aspect of the initial hit.

another thing is you need the power charges in the tree. to get the base crit for your dagger to reach a high enough crit you don't need inc crit strikes gem, you need the power charges.

other than that its basically clearing up pathing, and just efficient passive choices. for instance you don't want to travel 3 nodes for 1 jewel socket if there is another you can reach in only 2. that sort of thing.
saving one passive here and one passive there is a massive difference and can end up amounting to 3-4 passives, which could be another jewel socket

this makes perfect sense :)

i managed to do most of the things you suggested.. got 2 levels last night.. chroming was very painful.. cost me about 2 ex (near 1200 chromes) got pretty unlucky.. had to then do off colors on boots which was slightly painful too (used vorici in the end for the boots and went ham on the armour casue vorici was JUST giving me 3 green 3 blue everytime at 125 chromes a shot)

feels REALLY good to play this.. im reflect immune as well (12K dps tooltip atm; melts everything)

tried an abyss map and was so awesome; deathless.. went pretty fast.. feel very safe

My first time playing CI and its going pretty good. just gotta get the power charges up

At %50 crit without gem and 3 power charges, atm... have more crit to take on tree still.. going to use either legacy mali's or stay with rampage gloves... resists are fine

Not sure if I should take vaal pact or not since reflect is a NON issue.. any thoughts about that.. i have acuity too that I could use

Contemplating using legacy maligaro but the shadow gloves are very entertaining; Mali's will give me a TON of added crit/multi/attack speed and a tiny bit of evasion BUT shadows have some mana leech which means i can kill a jewel i am using which has that mod in favor of ES or another off mod.

Haven't seen any nearly pure chaos BF builds so I'm just gonna keep updating my findings on here as I progress.

Whoops. It is indeed Ancestral Warchief tree; was tweaking it today.

Nice, cheers! Good luck with your testing! This tree is pretty close to a normal Shadow Blade Flurry tree so if I can afford a Voidheart at some point in the league I'll check back in here to see if it's worth a respec =)

Poison deals chaos damage overtime, based on both your physical and chaos damage of the hit, saying that add chaos damage will boost the original hit is not entirely true since BF is a physical skill. I'd prefer physical, since it scales with both poison and bleed.

Going to skip this league or wait until late to join as I wanna actually try and level this guy as high as possible.

If it gets nerfed too hard, Ill just replace faster attacks with multistrike and throw Reave back in there. Will suck having to recolor chest though.. again.

Dying sun is AMAZING for both builds as I can use conc. effect without the aoe penalty and still grab the double dips.. mmm, double dipping like dunkaroo's in the frosting or a donut from Timmie's in my double double.
