I'm not sure if you are trolling or simply don't understand the point of minion damage. It has nothing to do with the wolves. The minion damage is applied to your character as global damage. Please read the guide carefully as stated.

While fatal toxin is a nice node, this build is already starving for as many skill points it can get.

It costs 5 points to reach this node, With all my testing I could not find 5 points to remove that getting that instead would be a net gain. Removing any 5 damage nodes we use now and picking up fatal toxin instead was a DPS loss.

Also a small consideration would be that this node would add absolutely nothing against two of the four guardians as they are poison immune and shaper is poison resistant , whereas just about all of the damage nodes we do use now do help our non poison damage.

Are you guys planning on trying to fit this build into the new poison changes? My double steel ring build might be ahead of its time hah


Also, Im working on a "montage" video of highlights all the deathless guardian and shaper kills (with my poor shitty hubris that isn't worthy of golem knuckle gloves, lol). Guardians die within 10-15 sec, and shaper is about 20-30sec per round. Should be ready to post tonight or tomorrow.

Kind of my way of finishing off the build since I have some ideas for a different build next league.


Also also, I've been trying a bunch of things with passive tree. Right now, I'm specced into the extra jewel socket by CI nodes. Added a crit multi jewel which allowed me to drop throatseeker. Also putting 3 points in flask effectiveness/duration is super great.

We will need to see actual patch notes and values before we know for sure but I'll certainly try and make this build work in 3.0 it it doesn't get obliterated by new changes. We still don't know what changes may happen to ES, crit, ect.

Perhaps it's just me being pessimistic but I''m honestly really worried that this build will be completely unplayable. It's seems over the years every time I really enjoy a build they destroy it with next patch :(

GGG seems to like incentivize people to strive for goals with character building then make everything you worked for a waste afterwards.

But hey maybe it all works out great if we just go full phys, or maybe we can make poison and bleed still work with new gems and tree changes. Sadly we won't know till we see.

Also I would love to see your videos, please share when you make them.

If you need help with your build, please post your tree and gear in the post itself. Not everyone uses Path of Building, on top of that it's not 100% accurate.

definately this build's single target damage is going to be limited to the same maximum output value as any other attack build with 3.0, I'm pretty sure they will destroy its core functionality as always.

It is simple math, any damage boost we actually use aplies to all outgoing damage, the initial hit/crit and DoT. In 3.0 we will have to decide which of those we want to focus on, what means the other damage sources will be gone or much weaker.

Also the new keystone that allows crit multiplier to apply to DoT scaling at the cost of non-crit damage is a punch in our face and is going to cut-off Assassin's ascendancy Toxic Delivery unless we go back to 95% critchance. Doing this will reduce our chaso part of damage by a lot, also the multiplier itself and at all screw up the whole build.

After development manifesto part 1 I was pretty optimistic, but now, after reading part 2, I think the build is done.

It seems that it would be smarter to choose Occultist and focus everything to poison with Snakebite or so. Its damage output can already be calculated if u want to see where we are going to end up.

They are going to make the whole game as flat as it has never been before, adding a lot of new sources and values, all doing the same - making endgame bossfights longer.

These are all still assumptions based no real data. Keep in mind, just because it's going to be in the beta doesn't mean it will make it to the actual 3.0 release. Also, i'll be testing these changes in beta and making updates to the guide accordingly. Even if you completely take out the poison, you will still do a lot of damage when min/maxed properly.

Again, we must wait until the real patch notes are released AND the build is tested with the new changes. Also, don't forget about new items, tree changes, and other potential changes that can be used to improve the build.

In conclusion, don't worry about anything until release and after I've updated the guide.
