Game settings where?

I've checked all menus in the game options and even turned off shadows. There's nothing that lets you change from DX9 to DX11

The game options menu after you first launch the game, before you even log into your account. After choosing the Dx11 it will restart the client.

Cheers, those logs have provided us with a bit more info.

Could you also try changing the compatibility mode (to Windows 7) for the game's shortcut, and seeing if that helps at all?

Also, is anyone having this problem with an Nvidia graphics card?

Please also let us know which operating system you're using, along with the type/model of your graphics card. Thanks.

me neither
Copying this from other post as it might help someone.

Fix: I got it working by editing the config file at C:\Users\(YOUR USERNAME)\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile\production_Config.ini and changing the line directx_version=9 to =11. I used notepad++ for it since windows notepad shows it funny. After switching to directx11 it shows again fine.

Problem: I was playing fine about 15 minutes ago. Exited game and the next time I reopened it I have a black screen. I can hear audio, I can hear it click on buttons, etc. If I press enter I can hear my character load into town, but I still just have a black screen. I tried rebooting, tried switching from x64 exe to normal. Nothing works. Downloading new drivers now just to try a fresh install...

Windows 10 64 bit gtx 780m. Was running x64 client with directx9.
Already tried directx_version=11, but also dont work.
Now even I messaged the support, so far nothing.
I hope they fix it before the end of the first week of the league.
Try adding this to command line it helped me it may not work for everyone though.

In command line put (1 space then --nodx9ex). Hope it works for you.
