[3.0] crit 1h flicker, 1kk+ dps, amazing map farmer
Hi guys. Loving the build at the moment! Its so fun and i can see myself using this build so much.
Got a bit of a question. I've kinda hit a wall in regards to progression. I'm at teir 8 maps at the moment. They are hard but doable. But for a level 80 they shouldn't really be hard and should be destroying stuff left right and center and progression should at this point be a little bit smoother than it is now. I sit at about 8k dps on flicker tooltip unbuffed and i can not for the life of me get it to increase. When i use full buffs (Hatred, Ash, Ice Golem) and all my flasks i sit at about 13-14k damage on flicker. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can either increase my deeps or if i'm missing something? (god knows how OP gets 121k on flicker) Char tab is public if someone wants to take a look. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. |

" Well, there are a few things you can do to get more damage. Buy a better dagger. Your Bino's has 160 flat average damage. There are 195 damage with 8+ crit chance for 5c-40c. For that small investment, that is a really big damage boost. Also remember that we are talking about avg. flat physical damage. Not DPS. Only look at that when you buy a Dagger, well and the base critchance of the dagger of course. Should be 8 at the very least. 8.5+ is better. Bigger investment, but MUCH bigger damage boost: Get a 6link Lightning Coil. When I take out my Added Fire gem my unbuffed shown avg. damage goes from 18000 to 11800. Big difference, right?^^ Also, the obvious, get better jewellery. But that is hard to do at times, believe me I know. Getting rings, amulets, belts with good flat phys, WED, accuracy, life and most importantly, resistances that allow you to reach resist cap seems to be the holy grail. As you can see on my profile (char is TheFireMeciel) I havent even come close to getting good jewellery myself. Also, I see no accuracy at all on your gear or jewels. What is your chance to hit? In a crit build you want that to be at 86%+, ideally around 90%. Because a 95% crit chance is useless with low chance to hit. Read up on the wiki about how it works but basically when a crit is triggered it is checked against chance to hit. If it fails, a normal hit is dealt. You can imagine with that huge crit. multi we have on this build that low accuracy will really crap on your damage output. And for the love of god, your Abyssus is scary. Pretty much the worst rolls you can have. Buy one with under 42% physical damage taken and better crit multi. You will see you will take much less damage then. And getting one with 200%+ crit multi will also boost your damage. If you have a shitty Abyssus with an enchant you want to keep, use Divines on it. Also, OP's screenshot is with single target setup (WED instead of Melee Splash) and fully buffed (charges, flasks, auras). I reach around 100k when I do that " Your gear seems pretty good. Resists capped I guess? Just to get the obvious stuff out of the way :D My guess would be that you get stunned and cant flicker around anymore. Flickering around is the best defense^^ Get someone to run Uber Lab for you and get Brutal Fervor and you will be stun immune. Last edited by Mecielle#3021 on Jan 20, 2017, 4:43:48 PM

Hey guys, i've just upgraded my dagger but now i have 3% less crit - 74 vs 76? My DPS tooltip got higher from 17k to 19.2k in HO with 2 auras. Are these 2% crucial or am i still good? Should i look for more crit somewhere? Is this an ok tooltip or am i still too low? It still feels that i can't maintain my charges properly on higher maps. What should i improve now? Thank you very much in advance :) P.S. I'm lvl 89 so don't have the final dagger tree part yet. Also i would like to know what do you think about my new dagger as well - i know it's still not BiS, but it's better now, is it already above average or still kinda low?

" So just to clarify, when looking for a dagger i should look at the Physical damage it does? so in my Binos it does 79-242 am i looking at that? Also thank you for your indepth analysis. I really do enjoy Flicking about so much. " I know right!!! SOOO DAMN EXPENSIVE THOUGH :( I'm sitting at about 100c so im nearly there (cant find decent stuff to sell and currency flipping is so boring!) :P " This definitly is hard. I'm resist capped on Fire and Lightning (which is surprising) but sat at about 50 something for cold res. i could up this by lowering my fire (120%) in for cold so not too much of an issue. I did think my Phys on my rings is alright for the damage boost but think i need to look at getting a new belt. " Flicker sits at about 86% chance to hit so there is room for improvement i suppose but its not overly terrible. " I knew it was bad and when i looked for a 43% and under Abyssus they went for like 90c but now they are at like 15c for 42% and under and 200%+ multi! What the actual.... Upgrade inc. " I can now sleep better at night knowing this. Thanks for your help Mecielle, much appreciated. Last edited by Dualdottv#5016 on Jan 21, 2017, 3:54:54 AM

" thx for your help dude, appreciate that <3 |

" Yea, only look at the average physical damage. Your Binos does (79+242)/2=160.5 Do a live search for daggers with 190 damage and 8 crit. There should pop some up from time to time below 20c. Mostly because people only look at DPS when they sell stuff. I did the same and got lucky with mine. Was put up for 45c and had 210 avg. damage with bad rolls. One divine orb later and it has 221 damage. Could keep divining and get around 230 avg damage I believe. Ok, at 86% your chance to hit is alright I guess. But keep an eye on it. It should drop when you reach higher levels and go into higher map tiers. " No problem, really enjoying the build ;) Last edited by Mecielle#3021 on Jan 21, 2017, 5:43:13 AM

Very minor point, but you should maybe replace the "leveling section" with Blade Flurry. With the passive tree we follow while leveling the other skills you mentioned don't stand a chance.
Just get a Mightflay at level 35, equip 2 The Warden's Brand and start oneshotting everything until you reach Merc Act 4. Also a Great Old Ones Ward is a great addition at level 46. Until then use whatever shield you have so you get the bonus from the shield nodes we get on the tree. If you don't like the -60% attack speed from the two rings, use phys damage rings you can use at your level. But using a Karui Charge with its attack speed bonus on top of movement speed will help with attack speed. Ah, and Maligaros of course for the small attack speed bonus, because you will be using those later on too if you don't want to go with Shadows and Dust. Concerning Frenzy charge generation: I read many people have problems with keeping up their frenzy charges. While I went the route of getting the Blood Rage enchantment, there is an alternative. Not as good but also not as expensive or annoying to get as the enchantment. Left of the Duelist leech nodes, get Cloth and Chain. This will give you 15% all resist. Now get a "The Green Dream" jewel and put it in the jewel socket left of that. Now you have +15% chance to get a frenzy charge on kill on top of what Blood Rage gives you. You can even boost that to 18% if you feel it is worth the additional passive. While not a high priority, you will get Cloth and Chain anyway in higher levels to help with gearing to cap resists. But you will of course lose the damage and life you would otherwise get from the jewel socket. Thinking this further: Would 40%/43% chance to gain a frenzy charge on kill (25% from Blood Rage, 15%/18% from "The Green Dream") be enough to keep frenzy charges as 6-7? If it is, we could get a different helmet enchant, like "9% increased Flicker Strike Damage per Frenzy Charge". With 7 charges up that would be 63% increased Flicker Strike damage. And all we lose, because we take Cloth and Chain anyway, is the damage/life from the jewel socket. Could be a nice tradeoff. @1322837: Have you actually thought about/tested this?
