Adding a new Cheat Death Gem?
Was thinking if GGG could introduce a cheat death gem.
This gem can be called "Revive" and it has to be linked to "Cast on Death" gem. This gem will prevent a death when triggered and it has a cool down of 3 mins before it can be triggered by "Cast on Death" again. This gem will have a mana reserve of 75% and a life reserve of 25%. UPDATE: A possible cool down mechanism of the gem is that it can behave like the enlighten gem. At level 1 it does nothing. It needs to be level 2 in order to have revive capability. And once triggered, the gem is reverted back to level 1 and player has to level it again. Last edited by kira1414#3753 on Oct 17, 2016, 11:34:00 AM Last bumped on Oct 17, 2016, 11:37:10 AM

" With 75% mana reserve + 25% life reserve requirement, you won't be able to have more than 1 setup. And the revive gem can have a common cool down. |

This gem would only be useful to hardcore players, unbalancing the game; softcore players don't care so much if they die, at least not enough to waste 75% of mana reserve.

" Mkay, but I still think it's too good. No matter the cooldown, if it's shorter than 24 hours it's not long enough. |

That would be great - would allow us to get OHK'd again by the thing which just OHK'd us.
PoE has a beautiful, rich, detailed world - you can really feel the skill which went into crafting it.
The game mechanics on the other hand leave much room for improvement. |

Death penalty is there for a reason. You might not like it, but if you're serious about working around it, you will need to confront that reason.

" It probably will but the revive process can have an animation that is like 0.5 second long before the dead character is revived so as to provide player sufficient time to react to those sudden death situation that caught them off guard. Last edited by kira1414#3753 on Oct 16, 2016, 9:56:02 PM

" Yes it makes the game more challenging. But with a revive gem in the game, it makes gearing more interesting too. Cos with such high requirement to equip the gem, a player has to sacrifice either damage, or toughness or both in order to use it. One thing really great about this game is the choices a player has when it comes to gearing. It makes you think really hard. "Should I drop this for that?". |

" There are many ways to handle this cool down thing on the gem. Example, it can even behave like the enlighten gem. At level 1 it does nothing. It needs to be level 2 in order to have revive capability. And once triggered, the gem is reverted back to level 1 and player has to level it again. |
