I can understand "cough" IIR being great with those old time act 4 full party merciless boss runs 2-3 years ago?. But not anymore, the time has changed. Plus having life and res is a quality of life issue where you can pretty much min max ur resist else where besides passive nodes. And how powerful does ES gear is better than life gear exactly? As far I can remember, gearing on only life gear is cheaper (ignoring mirror gear) and accessible.
