[2.6/3.1] Shaper down on budget 5-link - The Debuffing Pizza (Tri-Curse CI Elementalist Flameblast)

for jewels you just want triple dbl dipping modifiers (increased damage, increased fire damage, increased area damage) + res/stats or cast speed. cast speed isnt that important

recently ripped this char at 91 on ehc (10 stack fb on reflect rare...i survived that with 43 es, and then my OoS proc'd and killed me), then facerolled each guardian on standard (including ghosted hydra...fun stuff)

honest thoughts about the build (HC perspective):
- build is really really fun and deals INSANE damage (gotta use OoS to get that high damage though)
- very tanky
- golems don't seem worth it for bosses. even for elemental-heavy bosses (i.e. phoenix, hydra), they were dying CONSTANTLY and it became such a pain to resummon them. the bonuses you get are HUGE though, and im not sure whats the best way to go about fixing this problem (maybe linking the two golems in the CWDT setup?)
- essence surge felt worthless to me; when i reroll this build, i will most likely drop it and pick up hex master for blasphemy aoe + 10% curse effectiveness, 4 more es nodes, or even explosive impact for more double dipping damage
- double doryanis sounds like a great idea for the shaper
- i had a 6l regalia and it didnt seem necessary at all (6th link was faster casting for me)

anyways, thanks for the build guide!

Thanks a lot for your verification on HC and your honest review!

Regarding reflection: OP rarely pulls 10-stack FB when mapping, especially when dealing with Essence packs whose mods are not shown beforehand. If you feel checking the mod on monsters is too tedious (so does OP), for Rare/Essence pack, just pull some median size pizza on the edge of the pack, then let the proliferation clean the pack.

Regarding golems: They are immune to elemental damage, not all damage. All monsters deals a great portion of physical damage especially for end-game bosses such as guardians. So it is reasonable that golems die on a guardian fight. After all, gotta show some respect to the end-game bosses, right? :D

The important feature of golems for this build is the bonus they give, especially the one that Flame Golem does. That's why it is put on a hot key to enable an active summon. The distraction that golems bring is just a bonus. In fact, this little distraction may be the reason why the char is so tanky: it simply does not get hit often.

Linking both two golems in CWDT can be viable. But OP prefers to be able to always keep the Flame Golem up actively without the char being hit. Use Decoy Totem to absorb damage in extreme situations. OP doesn't feel too bothersome to re-summon golems. (Maybe OP just gets used to it already.)

Regarding Essence Surge and an ES shield: OP has been developing an ultimate 6-link for this char which has great synchronization with these features. Some info has been updated in the Gem-setup session. More details coming soon.

Regarding Hex Master: It is good for trashes, but not so much for bosses who have 60% less (not "reduced") curse effectiveness in Atlas. So 10% effectiveness inc. means 4% for bosses. Considering the char already has 120-130% curse effectiveness, 10% inc. doesn't offer much. The AOE is great though.

Regarding 6-link: Yes they are not mandatory. This a buff for budget players. :D But for the upcoming ultimate 6-link setup, it is recommended.

@loonger Did you try with Infernal Mantle Widowsilk Robe or do you think it will be a good idea for more dps ?

This build does not need more damage per se, a 600+ Vaal Regalia though really makes your ES pool huge, which in return is quite neccessary to survive those reflects/heavy hitters.
Edit: also some form of resists, because you have 2 unique jewelry.

Thanks for you answer. You are right. The char doesn't need more dmg from the Infernal Mantle. BTW OP uses one unique jew: Energy from Within.
loonger, thanks for the great guide and constant answers to players' questions. My friend and I both specced this build recently and we are loving it! Look forward to that 6L set-up you mentioned.

This is my current gear now. Let me know if you have any thoughts on how I can push them further? I plan to replace my doryani (which was a drop) with a newer non legacy variant for higher ele dmg.

Thanks.

You got some great gears :D

If you want to push further on the DPS, you can try:
1. Replace the weapon with a non-legacy Doryani.
2. Try to get an enchantment of "150% Increased Flame Golem Effect" on the helmet. (Totally unnecessary though. But this is a buff for sure if you are aiming for DPS number.) Or you can check OP's enchantments on the helmet and boots. They effectively gives 180% inc. crit chance to OoS and 90% inc. crit chance to anything else in terms of proccing (is this a word?) EO. They are QoL enchantments which do not effect the DPS number though.

Hope you and your friend enjoy the build. Cheers.

Thanks. We most certainly intend to. Refreshing change from the LL BV/ FB AW meta. Thanks for the build!
Hey currently leveling this build, kinda struggling. I'm picking up the hp nodes where i can, currenctly lvl 50 and have 1200 hp and 200ES :D using tabula ofc, my damage seems quite bad and i'm struggling (never played FB before), And also the spread of burning seems really bad, even with the prolif gem? Am i doing something wrong? and what weapons should i use to level with?
Secretly updated an ultimate 6-link setup. (Maybe hidden somewhere in the Gem setup session.)

Hmmm..
(1) Trigger Vaal Discipline to help regain ES after (2)
(2) Trigger Vaal RF for a big BOOM (Vaal RF on a 6L with FB)

Probably missing a few additional steps and intricacies but this is my initial guess.

for easy leveling use tc+blasphemy and arctic armor, equip cloak of flame and two ashcaller weapons. 4link is enough. if tc seems to feel like "survival-overkill", change for flammability and more damage, test it what fits your playstyle.
-> great survivability
-> high chance to ignites even on low levels

did that till the switch to es (~lvl 70), farmed at the end dried lake with only 1.4k life and 300 es. pretty yolo but i was surprised how well that was going. deathless! :)
(p.s. decoy totem opop)

great build, at lvl 79 atm, will take it till 90 :)

How should I level this build? I'm looking forward to starting it right now and I'm wondering on how to start leveling it
