Hey maddognils, I'm following your build, chose trickster as my ascendancy. I'm level 75, damage feels great, but my critical chance seems very low and inconsistant. I've double diamond rings, corrupted gloves with 3.5 crit, basically all the crit that I can get except one more power charge Ill get soon. Is assassin that much bettter now?

So I tried this build both trickster and assassin.. full gear both ways.. Here is what I found.
Trickster, better survivability, but single target is lacking. Also single target leech is bad when vinktar's is down.. even with more ES.. still don't last long against higher mobs... Assassin's single target is good. But I am getting rocked as assassin, no leech again on a single mob/boss without vinkars (warlords does not leach enough) My gear for both setups

EDIT: Already found an answer. Memo to my idiot-me: Use Cyclone instead of Bladeflurry, be happy. Bladeflurry does not cut it anymore with the latest nerfs.

Maddongnils, I am trying this build out, and liking it so far, but I feel as if I don't proc discharge enough, i think it may be a combination of low crit chance/accuracy, causing me to not generate the first charge quick enough to start the chain.
Would you be able to add some screenshots of your offense tab for cyclone/shield charge so I can have a general idea of where my stats differ from you? I know I have a huge level difference, and my gems are not leveled up yet, but it would provide a good starting point for me, and may be others. Thank you. | |

Why link discharge on your chest? Why would you want to waste your discharge pro with crit gem instead of discharge + controlled destruction + X gem on the weapon?

" I don't quite understand what you mean, why waste a discharge proc? Nothing is being wasted when you have a 30% helmet. There is nothing else good to put in the chest anymore besides BV which is not even that amazing. Don't forget that Cast on crit gives 40% more spell damage aswell. It's basically a free fully charged discharge that occurs 30% of cyclone time. We already generate enough charges with pcoc on cyclone to almost fully discharge on every discharge on single target.
