[outdated] King of the Forest (Crit version)

the problem with CI for this build is that it always comes with a massive loss of dps comapred to life, as well as struggle to get enough ES. without a 900 regalia and a 500 hubris i doubt you can reach something above 9k ES.

defenses will be lower (can reach maybe 10k evasion)

movespeed will be ALOT lower (no devoto, no queen) so it will feel terribly slow.

you have great issues generating frenzy charges (blood rage will not be viable) and using snakebites will mean you have troubles getting ES, because cant use 200+ sorcerer gloves.

not using snakebites means you need a poison gem. you probably wont have 4 frenzies up at all time, and you need to remove void manipulation. you lose 16% more damage and 39% more chaos damage which both double dip, which is huge.

you probably need to resolve stun, so either wear chayula or valyrium, i.e. giving up a dps and resist slot, or pay 40ex for skyforth (which doesnt have much ES)


you can resolve most of these issues by going raider, but that means you will lose alot of crit, and 100%more poison damage, basically cutting your dps in half.



So in the end, you trade alot of movespeed, easy gearing, ~50% of your damage and 15-50ex for the ability of being chaos immune, vaal pact and getting 2-3k more EHP.

I think ES is just pointless on this entire archetype/concept of character. Like, I imagine trying to do this build with ES, and it just ends up worse.

There's two ways people make ES powerful (or overpowered if you want to call it that). One is by facetank leeching everything, and having a large enough HP pool to never take any 100 to 0 hits; the other is by having very strong debuffs (namely curses and Chill), and taking so few hits that the ES starts regenning between them.

This build just... doesn't support neither. You could, maybe, make the facetanking strat work with Barrage (it does spam a lot of hits per second, and you can probably make it leech enough to 100% you instantly after taking any damage). But the question, then, is why? -- there are skills that are much, much better suited for this purpose, and at this point you're better off looking at other builds. Debuffing is totally out of the question.

Life regen and Life Flask just ends up being better for a build like this.

Is there another amulet i could use with this build?? only one for sale is 1 mirror and i dont have that

Spread your int across rings or other gear / get +30 INT until you get better amulet.

I struggled with amulet little bit too. Had to get less int than OP and didnt have slot for crafting chaos damage. But it was only decent option other than paying ridiculous ammount of currency which is not worth it IMO.

Not sure if you can check my profile, but I was wondering abt your 20k evasion. I'm not even close to that with my current gear. Am I completely missing something?

Okay, Build is doing pretty decent. Recently did a switch from Non-Crit into the Crit variation (dps is way better and have similar hp due to i can drop the horrible worm ring) I sit around 43% crit with a 6,7 % bow which feels fine to me.

Now im not sure if i should go for council which is like 200c in BHC or rather buy a decent rolled Harp for like 45c. I gues Concil dps may be better but i will loose out on a decent amount of crit probably be something like 35% in the end?

From my current Pov i feel like the Harp might be better, but im not sure tbh. Would love to have some input on this topic.

How the fuck do u do uber 4 key runs with this character? Its borderline impossible. The last phase just 1 shots me with any buffs and i need time to stack frenzy charges and shit to even move his hp.

Is the new flask Sin's Rebirth any good with this build?

Well in your profile you don't have queen of the forest on your character (maybe you have it on other characater). You should get high evasion one they can be in range from 1600 to 2100.

My crit with Reach in town is 41%. Power charges combined with deadly infusion take you up to 76% or so and rest covers the diamond flask so you get 95% fully buffed. I didnt finish leveling my inc crit gems yet so I might be few % off but dps is great.
