[2.4]PewPewPews other Firestorm Build!

Hi!

I did a variant of this build, and wanted to share my results. It's still lvl 70 but I guess I can offer a good insight.

DPS:
Spoiler
First, the fully buffed DPS:

This is roughly 319k on an enemy of radius 5 (Izaro, bears, etc) and 179k on an enemy of radius 2. Both with concentrated effect and all buffs up, which is uncommon. All without fire penetration effect.

With just Bone Offering and Inc. AOE instead of conc. effect, my DPS is:

This is roughly 48k of sustained casting and 3099 per single cast (not counting spell echo repeat). All without fire penetration effect.

Breakdown of the build:

Gear:

(I still have to enchant gloves with Word/Decree of Spite)

Reasons for choices and differences with OP:
Spoiler
-As Firestorm is a duration skill, you can still hit enemies with a movement skill "after" you kill them. Not getting Fortify seemed a waste. With Spirit Eater buff and 2-3 Bone Offerings procs on the plenty of corpses after a fight, I get WB attacks per second close to 1 (with vaal haste), and to 0,85 using Flesh Offering. It's fast enough one and stupidly fast the other (seriously, you can use it on interiors)
-Not getting area on tree. As it's said by OP here or in his main Firestorm build thread, smaller area means more damage. You save passive points and clean ability in exchange of clean speed. I do not regret this.
-2x Cybil Paws, self cast and trigger bone offerings, Rumi's Concotion. I never made a block character, I don't have good flask usage. I took those things as a prerequisite, so maybe it's not the optimal decision. I feel that I would learn faster with an offensive use of flasks than defensive (because when you forgot and needed them, you're fucked).
-Block gives me defence from monsters, defence from myself (reflect), and 240% (relieving the passive points priority).
-Clarity lvl 1. Necessary to get Commander of Darkness, because blasphemy auras don't proc it. Ele. resis are always nice, as I'm using 4 uniques.
-HP: I got 3801 life, 501 ES (just from gear, no increases), and 1029 mana. If I manage to not get hit often (bosses that one-shot) I have 5331 HP. I expect to raise it to 6045 at level 80. With Fortify, Granite, Basalt (or fitting flask for the boss), 4 Endurance Charges and 5% reduced physical from Flesh Binder should be enough to survive many bosses hits.
-Curses: Instead of a Kitavas I get Asenath's gloves (temporal chains on hit) and Blasphemy WM. Same mana usage, but the real deal is Temporal Chains vs Enfeeble. I'm still not sure to this day, but since I got leech enchantment on boots I might try swapping WM for Enfeeble. Might be a very bad idea because of MoM.

What I didn't like:
Spoiler
-I leveled with Inspired Learning jewel (Headhunter effect). It looked good because it was a build with duration, with minions, where you do the killing. But duration isn't increased, minions do nothing, and you only get one useful mod per area on average. It had fun parts (superfast whirling blades, aura of immortality on random people party), but on general, I didn't like it.
-Fortify and Elemental Overload durations aren't increased by the 130% increased duration on trees. I really counted on this when planning the build :(
-I spec much less on minions than OP... They're good for now
-I have been smasing an empty Rumi's almost constantly since 68. I'm staying at T7 maps until I fix this and get more life.
-Degeneration won't be affected by MoM or Block. My staunching is not on my basalt flask, and I get corrupting blood stacks FAST.
-Blasphemy feels short.
-I recently got the boot enchantment, maybe I can get rid of the hybrid flask... I almost never used it anyway.

As a benchmark... I don't have any videos for you, but I can facetank merciless Izaro and bring him down in less than 20 seconds (I manually avoid first hit though, and place him on precast firestorms zone). Mi life never dropped lower than ~1500 in about 7-8 runs I did.

Hey, thanks for your version of things! Read it all, and it looks interesting :)

The only thing I really dislike is the double use of bone offering - Your zombies only have life for now. And while it's fine for the time being, once you start high mapping, they will die, die and die. Try anything above T10, and I can assure you, they won't stay alive long enough to really do anything for you. And don't forget, as long as they live, they will also grant defenses to you. I would swap out the CwDT for your minions, and instead just run CwDT + Convocation(+ Bone Offering), and get at least minion res on your meatshields.

The reason why I didn't opt for fortify(I really should) - I'm just lazy. I like my builds to be simple and easy to play. Swapping between multiple spells just doesn't suit me haha :D

I really only make this post to say that I didn't forget about this build. As a matter a fact, I have a few updates I should pull through before fully finishing this build(Right now, I use both Cybils and the Scourge as my weapons. It's... Well holyballsshit-Amazing. Not only does it give me another 20 minions, it also massively increases my damage output. Should check it later when I'm not tired as well, but I've seen 3.3K tooltip with AoE socketed in etc.

But right now, I have a few other projects I'm really focusing on(mostly my leveling guide, want at least the first chapter done in a few days), and seeing there hasn't been a major stream of attention to this guide, I decided to let it rest for now.

But hey, once I find some more time, I'll be sure to give this guide a lot of love. Because right now, I really feel this version scales incredibly well into end game maps(Done few of the T15s already, looking to take down a guardian if RNG is in my favor :3).
I am a nice guy.

Sorry, typo. I do use Raise Zombie + Minion Life + Minion Speed + Minion resis (on a +2 minion helmet).

I also look forward to use The Scourge... but the price is a problem (and will be for a good while, have another build this league that needs some love).

I would like to see a video of those 20 wolfs. You provably can even drop zombies.

How do you add the skill points as you level?

since this is different than the original guide in skill tree as well.

I really wanna follow this one for next league

thanks ;)
I updated the tree :)

Until you have your 6-Link, running Bone offering with a cast when damage taken or self cast, is very possible :)

Until you have your Scourge, two cybil's paws or one with a shield works best!
