you're comparing the bonus from the weapon which applies to both... to the bonus of the weapon and a gem. obviously, a skill with 5 gem supports will do more damage (or have more pen if a pen gem is used), it wasn't worth stating because it's so obvious.

it's not an argument. i didn't miss it, it just wasn't an argument.

a sambar gives 6 pen. period. it's not more for x than y, it's 6.

it's just perception. it's not really an argument or a point. to you, a +6 applies disproportionately because you're changing the comparison to include 38 pen from a socketed gem, which may or may not even exist - and should not be the basis, anyway, imo.

from my perspective, that's silly. and +6 is +6. what, am i expected to complain that we can't add a cold pen gem support to winter? (yes, /s).
