[2.6] Viper Summoner [LegacyHC] HIGH Single Target

Hi, this is my updated guide for Legacy League



Primary Damage of our minions is Now Physical and Poison thanks to


I use Slashed Miscreation because they are the best single target spectres, for normal use i use undying evangelist.


Pros
1. REALLY High Effective HP (11k at the moment)
2. Nice Clear Speed
3. Nice Single Target thanks to poison
4. Can do all map mods
5. Really Tanky because all the minions soak up the damage for you
6. Max Block and Max Spell Block (With Stone Of Lazwhar)
7. Get life when you block.
8. Temporal Chain
9. REALLY Cheap to start the league. (1-4c) (Aurumvorax + Bones Of Ullr)
10. Can go AFK in maps in Hardcore!
11. Killed Abyss and Colloseum
Cons


1. Can be tedious to play (Need to Raise Spectre) Permanent Soon
2. Spectres Died on Core Malachai (t15) Trying to tinker on how i could do this
3. Spectres got 1 shot on Phoenix Guardian (I think GGG forgot the 90% reduced damage from boss)

What Soul Eater does:
Every Stacks gives to ONE Spectre:
5% attack and cast speed.
5% ele resist and 5% flat phys damage reduction

So for each monster your spectres kills they get 5% cast speed, since we kill a lot of monster quickly we need to get some spectres that scales really well with

Levelling Guide

You can level as a summoner but you will mostly use Summon Raging Spirit to level.

Things i do in the start of a league in order.

Grab an Iron Ring
Grab a Red Gem
Vendor to get a Ruby Ring
Vendor Ruby Ring + 3l Wand (or Sceptre) + 1 Alteration = +1 Fire Wand
Socket SRS + Minion Damage + Melee Splash (Swap Melee Physical Damage for Boss)

Things to look for, Bone Spirit Shield - Flask of Animation - 4L Helmet with 3b 1r or 2b 2r

You can craft +1 Minion Helmet with the following recipe

Any Helmet - Flask of Animation - 1 Alteration


I suggest to buy an Aurumvorax early on to cap your resists they are usualy 1 chaos max.

There are some big steps in damage that you will want to take while levelling.

The first one is the first ascendancy Mistress Of Sacrifice. This improve your levelling by a lot i really suggest rushing this asap.
With flesh offering and srs this will make your levelling process a breeze.


The Second one is taking Necromantic Aegis and Victario's Charity.
This gives your minions 45% attack/cast/move speed
and 600% increased critical strike chance.

While levelling i helped oak to get more hp, but i just changed it because i have a lot more es than life.
I Suggest killing all in every difficulty.

Do you any advice for a levelling tree? Which nodes to aim for first?

Having just recently posted a summoner guide myself and discovering the power of Clayshaper I thought I'd let you know that the strongest summoner levelling(got me from 41 to 70) are the level 12 4-linked stone golems you can easily get with it, worth looking into.

Well since you want to level fast i suggest taking all the minions node and duration node as early as possible, also cast speed helps a lot in the early game. I can do a more detailed version of levelling if you are interested too.

Self Found Essence, i use two essence of fear to craft minion damage on 1 handed weapon for minion damage.


You can buy reverberation rod and matua tupuna if you want to somewhat power level yourself.

have you thought about going low-life with blasphemy? of course we would have to get a shavs which would make the build a bit more expensive, but is it do-able?

would it be worth to go damning ring to free up 4 passives during the leveling phase (up to 70)

also what would be the best spectre to use during leveling? the sentinels for normal and cruel are really squishy and i cant afford time to go there every other zone
