CoC Cool Down in 2.4. How it work.

I would say, by the looks of how it's going to be now, that its intended use would be to try and scale both the attack and the spell at the same time, now that stacking attack speed isn't nearly as good for it anymore. Molten Strike+Fireball+fire/projectile supports, as a generic example, whereas CoC used to effectively only care about the damage the triggered spells did.
Are these rough calculations wrong?

Im planning on making a CoC cyclone bladefall char again this league (previous league: Cyclone-CoC-BF-EK-Life leech-Increased crit stike chance)

My previous char:
3 aps (attacks per sec)
58% crit chance (on cyclone)
69% chance to trigger CoC (lv 20)

This would roughly net me (0.58*0.69)*3 = 1.2 CoC triggers per sec.

The avg triggered dmg per sec, based on the written dmg of the jewels (just to simplify); 475 avg dmg for BF(lv20) and 573 avg dmg for EK(lv20) would be:

(475+573)*1.2 = 1258 avg dps

And for the "New CoC", based on the same stats from my previous char:
still 3 aps (attacks per sec)
still 58% crit chance (on cyclone)
now 100% chance to trigger CoC
And now also a 39% more dmg multiplier on CoC (lv20)

This would now net me (0.58*1)*3 = 1.74 CoC triggers per sec.

which is still under the cap of 2 triggers per sec. and therefore shouldn't be any problem.

And since CoC can only trigger 1 spell per frame i would swap the EK for another support, e.g conc effect (for bosses), controlled destroction or increased crit multi...

The avg triggered dmg per sec would now roughly be (5links no EK):

(475*1.39)*1.74 = 1148 avg dps

which is not that far from the previous avg and still not counting the 6th gem...

are my rough math estimates somewhat accurate? or am I missing somthing?

What you guys are not considering is the amount of gear improvements that are available from the essences...

This will probably counter the DPS drop
I'm wondering how the 500ms cooldown on each spell (see Bex on reddit for refernce) will go with the 50ms cooldown of coc. I mean its already 50ms for all the spells with the same name, but how about going wand barrage:
barrage + coc + bladefall + bladefall + bladefall + bladefall
wouldnt it proc 8times per second? given the barrage has enough hits?
EDIT:
I mean before 2.3 it was useless to link more than 1 spell of a given name to coc, because it couldnt proc all spells of the same name at once (50ms cooldown). But in 2.4 coc will proc only 1 spell at a time, so it wouldnt matter if u use the same spell 3-4 times, as long as u dont crit fast enough to bypass the 50ms cooldown.
Am I right?

if you run a CoC in boots a CoC in gloves and CoC in armour, do they all share a cooldown?
