Choosing to not Complete Maps on the Atlas
" Ahh, there's your mistake. Perhaps if you were more efficient, you could get to end game and complete the content. It's not the "efficiency guys" fault that you're slow at the game, is it? Each gamer has their own objectives, why do you feel it's OK for you to hate on the way other people want to play? You've even somehow predetermined my own feelings regarding how you think I should feel while I play PoE, based solely on what's in your head. Dude... That's wrong, and deep, but mostly just wrong. Also, who are these "efficiency guys"? Is that like the ilumati? branch of the CIA? Chris Wilson's fan club? |

I have a question about Shaped maps.
Example: T9 map has X chances do be dropped. T14 map has Y chances do be dropped. (obviously Y<X). When you Shape T9 map into T14: 1) Does Shaped T9 still has the same chance as regular T9? 2) By exchanging 3x Shaped T9 will give you: regular T10? Shaped T10? Regular T15? 3) Shaped T9 still considered as T9 or T14 in Map Drop POOL? 4) Additional to №3, Will Shaped T9 can be dropped in regular T8? or in regular T13? --------------- There are only 3 T10 Shaper Orbs, so 1 of 4 final Bosses doesn't have on it's T15 map route Shaper orb. Lets vote, who it is? Hydra? Last edited by CBEToffOP#6515 on Aug 27, 2016, 7:20:32 AM

First of all, I am not a native english speaker, so sry about mistakes.
Secondly, I love POE and GGG for all they have done in the past. For the time they invest, for the listening to the community (sometimes), and for the new things they bring to the game all 3 months at least, but... I dont think the way they go with the Atlas is a good one, because as example, I am only a casual player, never had a 100 char, playing app. 3-4 chars per league to arround 90, thats it, but the upcoming league will go like this..... - Play a nice char up to lvl. 90 in the first week or two weeks - Explore the whole atlas as far as you can go with your char (lets assume you got all) - Now you know all the layouts and all the bosses, and got your favorites - At this time you have enough currency an lvl gear for your next char, so... - Play a second char, an OP Char (Miner,BV,etc.) but this time on another account !! - Play it until app. 76 to 78 without playing maps (dried lake farming) - Take your 2 favorite maps of each tier to that account (or buy it) - Shape the best one of each tier from 1-10, and dont shape the second best one - Use this second char to farm only the two most awesome maps of each tier - From know on play on your main accout again - Make more chars like you want, and only use ONE CHAR on your secondary accout - Thats the way you only get your desired maps for your main account(same for standard) Sry, but to allow this sort of specialising, without putting currency in the game to unlock any map is the wrong way to go with the atlas, but GGG will let that happen, really !? SECOND ACCOUNT ABUSING - STILL FAVORABLE ! Let me know your thoughts about that, because I still think this is the way to go. Best regards - a casual player |

This new map system sounds interesting. Good to see that GGG is finally getting the picture that map-running in its current form is becoming far too stale.

So basically GGG decided to take time and effort to develop a means for certain players to complete the whole Atlas (for an assumed Challenge) and then just end up running Gorge anyways by respecing every other map?
Or is this simply a case of the rich getting richer by allowing rich plays to respec everything other than T15 so only red maps drop? I personally don't see a problem that needed fixing. Wouldn't the drop pool look very similar to what it does currently once the Atlas is completed? Might as well demand a way to have only GG rares/uniques drop since people managed to complain their way into even easier Gorge farming. |

" Whoot? I play allmost all the maps while the efficency guys only play gorge and plateau. How the fuck is that connected to "get to the endgame". The problem is that the efficency guys only run 2 maps and therefore cry that there is not enough endgame while I play about 70 maps (~100 next week) what simply means I have about 35 or 50 times the endgame content they have! will the atlas be accessible by a single key on the keyboard? And if so which one?

" 1) No. It's a T14 map now, so it'll have a T14 map drop chance. 2) There is no such thing as a 'shaped' map. Shaping a map just means it's now upgraded to five tiers higher. And vendoring 3 T14 maps gives you 1 T15 map. So it's option 3 - regular T15. 3) See above. It's a T14 map now. 4) Regular T13 from blue packs, regular T12 from bosses. |

" About question №2: If "There is no such thing as a 'shaped' map." , does that means i can Shape maps twice? T5+T5 Shaper orb > T10 + T10 Shaper orb > T15?! When vendoring what T15 map i will get? Because T14 (Shaped T9) still is in T9 location on Atlas and isn't connected to any T15 map! (And we have no T15 completed)! So i can vendor 3 of them and wait till vendor shows me T15 map which i want to get?! Last edited by CBEToffOP#6515 on Aug 29, 2016, 6:12:11 AM

Might be time to re-read your own dev manifesto GGG.
