He's not entirely wrong; though, it's not the attack speed specifically that's doing this. You see, GGG's servers are being over taxed; as we've be unable to deny with the overloads that happen at initial patch times causing server resets with waiting lines to re-log. At peak usage times this taxation creates more 'latency' related lags than normal. I would *guess* that this is because of all the number crunching going on within such a taxed server(a server that needs to be upgraded/expanded upon).. The reason Degraga is, and again I'm guessing, associating this with people using mass attack speed; is, because, they're requiring a lot more number crunching by the server in an allotted time frame.

Er, ok.
The two things you've mentioned between attack speed and "teh power of server number-crunching" is not the thing I'm connecting the dots with.

The servers are not being taxed. It's the netcode that isn't factoring in attack speed.

But thinking on that, I'm convinced that the netcode has been factored to it fairly recently (particularly the Predictive side of the netcode).
It's called snap-shotting your position, storing it, restoring it back 5-6 seconds and then the game resumes; while the game in question stops entirely and you can still move about without giving any indication that it has done so.

That's not server over-load; That's netcode disguising a problem for which the server is patiently understanding.

It is Attack Speed excess that's doing it from the client.
