Horrible Performance on Necropolis Map / Uber Lab
PC Specs:
Intelcore i7-3630QM Nvidia Geforce GT650M 16GB DDR3 Ram Win 10 750GB shitty HDD I encounter this problem on the crypt map tileset, the necropolis map tile set and the corresponding labyrinth tile set. I believe it is the tile set that is the issue and that masters/ground effects etc only exasperate an existing issue. I mentioned the issue to a couple of friends on mumble around 2-3weeks ago and they all reported the same fps problem in crypt maps. 4 Gigs is low by today's standard. Saying that isn't needed just isn't truthful as Deneb pointed out. And 32 vs 64bit has nothing to do with it. Please, don't mislead people.
That being said. Gosu, Look in your POE install directory under logs for your client.txt file. If you go into Uber Lab again and the Necro map, look for the instance IP address (they go by time stamp). Check and see if they are the same IP addy. Go into the stickies in this forum and look for the connectivity primer, and DL WinMTR. Run a trace route (300-500 seconds)to those instance IP and see if anything odd comes of it. Try and have it running while you experience those issyes. We have to remove anything wonky in your connection first before going any further. Also, wireless or wired connection? Also, are you running any of the new command line parameters like --noasync or the new multi-threading one? Edit: " Make your own thread if you'd like help. This is Gosu's thread to get help in. Im using the new multi-threading command, yes. It improved my overall performance alot so far! Right now I'm at my parents house (untill I find a new flat) so I am relying on wireless, but I dont have any ping problems at all, only in PoE. For me it seems like theres a issue with the crypt tileset. I will respond to your suggestion later but there are actually many players noticing that issue.
And I'm totally fine with Hyperbear posting in "my" thread, he (beside others) got the same problem so GGG need to work on it, I guess. Everyone is welcome to give their feedback regarding that issue in here. Last edited by gosubär#1655 on Aug 15, 2016, 5:43:55 PM

Heh, it's more of an issue for those of us trying to help. If you have 15 people all in one thread, you tend to lose track of who you replied to and things get lost. Also, his problem, while it may be a similar issue on the surface, may be because of something completely unrelated to your issue. :)
Have you tried running with --noasync yet? You can have more than one command line parameter set. Just append it to the end. Now, your load times will go up, but everything will get preloaded. I haven't noticed anything with that tileset myself (and I know I have run a few of those recently). Let us know what you come up with and we'll go from there :) "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots.
