Added a short section for my take on the Voltaxic version. Big thanks to djnat, who provided the basis for tree. With Pathfinder we need to take Master Herbalist to Poison, but must choose to drop Master Surgeon or Master Alchemist. Gear is listed, and is in very similar fashion to the Physical Damage version. We do travel differently in the Tree though, since we need a lot of INT for Wrath.

what is the best version so then ?
There is no best version. There is just whatever you feel like playing. Depending on your preferences, thee are many different optimal setups.
For try, for see, and for know.

Glad we were able to get you in the right direction. Jewels can be immensely helpful to provide damage, or you can choose to fill in the top half of the Ranger Bow Wheel if necessary. As you get more levels (I see you're about 74 or so according to the Tree), you'll get access to more Life Nodes overall. But your gear is very good overall, don't really see any gaps in there for a temp league setup.

This.

I know some people swear and live by Master Surgeon, however with so many Unique Flasks it is hard to turn down Master Alchemist so we have safety against elemental status ailments. If it does help, my mapping partner in ESC took Master Alchemist, and is using a Bleed Flask. Most other gear is the same, except my example gear is older and he is using Opal Rings at the moment, which are a pretty insane damage boost, especially if you use the Torment Essence to craft them (guaranteed t1 or t2 Flat Lightning Damage Roll).

Hi ppl, glad to see the discussion going.
My opinion about the ascendancies is the following:
After testing a bit i recommend using both: Alchemist+Surgeon. The gameplay is a bit more safe and comfortable. So what about the other 2 nods?
1) Herbalist is first of all a poison nod. U could take it and add ACD gem in the 6-link, wich will increase the damage from poison but to make it worth it i'd change a bit of nods, so it sounds like a bit of variation of the build. Raw herbalist with no support is not worth it in my opinion. The better gear u have the less need for poison u have..
2)Master Bower is a very good boost for single target like shaper, or uber. 10% reduce deffence is a great DPS boost. But again the better gear u have, less needed this nod becomes.. 10% boots+6% tree+10%VoTV=26%penetration, wich is more then enough to melt down anything with ur barrage setup at 400+dps bow...So again better equipment u have, less needed the additional penetration is..

Alchemists gives u the way to operate the builds utility variations, it's all what pathfinder is about.. The way it synergies with VoTV making u immune to shock and being immune to freeze saving us from using untifreeze flask and giving us more utility, makes it one of the most desirable nods pathfinder has.
Master surgeon is another fundamental nod wich allows us to keep flask charges even on bosses if used correctly and if it is the goal, not taking it is something very strange, cause again pathfinder is all about this nod. And the current concept is using 95% crit chance just for it, to maximize our flask recharges.
It's my IMO from playing the build and testing various ascendancy nods.

Essence league even gave us 5% elem pen on belt as well.

I also have a hard time justifing vet bowyer or herbalist. Unless specifically a poison build.
Bowyer is a huge dps boost, no doubt. But damage comes from alot of places. While its very hard to argue over the immunity from alchemist, or flask charge return on surgeons.
Having started both sides on various characters. I do find master alch the better for first grab.

Master surgeon is largely powering unique flasks, and is powered by crit. how much you have of either of these is less likely as robust, as elem status immunity.
could x2 Volley Fire jewels replace (for a while) hat barrage enchant?
here is my gear im running with atm

@Dzz1rt: I think the discussion above was more for Voltaxic oriented users who wanted something to go off of. Ofc we want Surgeon/Alchemist for Physical build, but Poison is pretty valuable for Voltaxic. Some adjustments have to be made since the Ascendancies are not one size fits all.

Yeah, I've not had great results with Hysteria at all. Honestly for me, so far Essence Crafting has yielded very little for me, but I might binge here pretty soon and try to craft some takeaways back to Standard. It's a fun gamble but most of the time you're not going to get anything useful unfortunately.

Would be nice to see what a finished Hysteria Belt looks like though. So far nothing really close for sale.

Volley Fire adds additional projectiles on the first and last, which are sent out in a spread direction, so it doesn't do the same as the Barrage Enchant itself, which will add additional projectiles towards the main target. That said, I think initially you don't really need the additional Barrage Support, the Shaper video I did is actually with the TS enchant and not the Barrage enchant if I remember correctly.

TS can generally take care of anything that is T15 or lower, and even T16 Guardians but needs more time to kill. Barrage was just great for Shaper (basically a gear check with the high amount of HP), and speeding up kills on high health targets. I didn't need it for anything lower, but consider it a nice quality of life.

Been busy with Essence League stuff, so haven't had time to search for many upgrades atm. I do want to eventually upgrade the Helm Enchant and get some better Enchants on Gloves/Boots. The Acuity is from Perandus so I don't have Commandment of Winter, but from previous play, Commandment of Spite works just fine, or Commandment of Fury for a more offensive approach. I'm not looking forward to grinding Labs for the incredibly rare Elemental Pen boot enchantment, though. Rip.

Can you add some Guardian Fight videos with Voltaxic bow?

Going back to Pathfinder now, after playing raider for quite a long time. As you said raider really shining at t12-13 maps, but being not stable enough to farm 14-16 safely. You can still do anything you like, but at the very last tiers you'll probably just die sometimes. It's a lot of fun though, because the gameplay is feeling very dynamic and you are clearing maps like really, really fast.

My current pathfinder-setup works just fine and as intended, but i'll probably try a little more dynamic and less defensive tree at some point, which pretty much means to leave scion-area again.

Current setup:

Still have to devine most jewels and probably get another life one, but all in all i am satisfied ... Crit-cap without any charges/golems, 92% hitchance and 8.8k life. - Really like to play with poachers mark and stone golem, which is probably not very common.
