Damn... there won't be another blue moon until January of 2018. To hell and beyond if GGG thinks I'm going to get excited when I won't see one drop until then. Screw the f'ing low drop rates of quality gear (no 6L, no mirror, no Bino, no VR, 1 Carcass Jack, 1 Rat's Nest) unless these are new leveling uniques (ya, like we really need more of them... NOT!).

So that sword has insane dps for a unique. ~465 dps with 20q... that beats pretty much every other unique 2hander except Disfavour. So that looks cool...


...that being said, is the description of it a joke? Or just plain ignorant? "Provides a strong incentive to dip into crit"... not in the least. It provides a tiny degree of incentive to not go RT, but there's absolutely zero incentive to do anything beyond that. It has no base crit chance, trying to gather up any crit chance or mult would be a tremendous waste.

Bleeding on (melee only) crit isn't good enough to warrant trying to get more crit chance, bleed doesn't do enough damage and it won't happen reliably enough to use it with bloodlust. A chance to blind on a small crit chance is pretty much worthless too, especially when stibnites exist to guarantee such a thing up close (or you could just support a totem with Blind).


Sorry. Cool sword for the baseline dps and leech, but the rest is pretty much useless. GGG's pushed crit into a mechanic where (outside of ele overload) it's all or nothing.

The Sword has some synergy with "Romiras Banquet". You build power charges until you crit, otherwise you leech. A slayer build sounds just about right to give it whirl.

Spec into crit with that sword? Spec outta RT and into accuracy as well? Seems like it would be better to get some bleed chance or voidheart and ignore the last 3 affixes on the item completely...... So thanks for a 2H unique sword with +300% ipd I guess? Pretty lame.

Kongor's undying rage is not only stronger, it's also better, it also grants some useful effects were you don't really have to look for crit chance, because you never miss and when you get a crit you get onslaught that grant additioonal speed in total. Please correct me if I am wrong but even doomsower could be a better choice with slightly lower dps, but higher attack speed (at least ~0,2 with decent roll) what I would prefer against reflect for example. The only thing I could use this sword maybe would if it get a good 3D art to use it for skin transfer, cause mostly all other swords look totally boring!

Both the weapons you have mentioned are indeed better than the Katana while using RT.
But, the Katana beats them by a huge margin when talking about crit version.

50% increased melee dmg that works on every bost you get is pretty insane. Blind is straight 50% less chance to get hit.

Biggest downside is "Crits dont leech" without this sword would be way too OP...
