"So you would be happy if they changed it for other people but not you? I find it hard to believe that the people who post over and over how much they hate the lab are doing it for other people. It's just like when people want a change for themselves but try to make it sound like they're being altruistic by saying "to help new players". Edit: not to say people can't be selfless. Giving money to a homeless person can be selfless. But not when they get something out of it like taking a selfie and posting it to show everybody how generous they are. As a self-declared lab hater, good for you! Nothing for anyone to need to forgive you over. :)
Just don't make me play it to get my core character development. ;) Like you, I find the core of the dungeon being called a 'labyrinth' "boring and a completely stupid concept". Unlike you, I refuse to do complete boring and stupid content for virtual items. I play a game to both destress and be challenged. Not bored to tears and feeling like I'm in the dentist chair just to push through. I wish many lab rewards to you to make up for the shitty content! gl |

" So, using a level 97 pathfinder that utilized a FLASK ASCENDANCY with LEGACY FLASKS, which btw is probably one of the best builds for lab if not arguably THE DEFINITIVE BEST, and you found the lab underwhelming. Despite this you still took forever finding the trials you need (biggest gripe) and you still hate traps (2nd biggest gripe). I can't imagine anyone predicting that might have happened, please share more of this anecdotal story about how you broke POE and lab was easy for you my evasion is so high i only insta rip sometimes ----- Bug Fixes: People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex. Also, we went ahead and made cyclone great for CoC casters while we were at it. Last edited by Legatus1982#1658 on Jul 29, 2016, 5:20:31 PM

" The way I read it, I think he's basically saying: The lab is horrible, but the loot is good. I guess I'll do it just for the loot. If it wasn't so easy to cheese, it's an incredible poorly implemented pos I wouldn't otherwise do. -Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. |

No need for corrections, you're probably exactly right and even if you weren't my point stands
TBH after years of melee being trash I've given up on POE anyways, I have relegated to forum warrior my evasion is so high i only insta rip sometimes ----- Bug Fixes: People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex. I like the lab is there, it's a goal to push toward/through.
As for moving Ascendency points out of Lab, it really does not jive with the design. Lab is based around surviving multiple stages without dying/portaling out. It is inherently more challengeing, as it removes the cruxes of Swarming, portaling out, or alt-F4 when things get dangerous, so the rewards are greater. From a risk Vs reward vs investment, it works. THe Ascendency points are powerful, but takes a bit of time to run through, and it removes a lot of the crutches people rely upon to cheese through. Removing Ascendency points from the lab, from a risk vs reward perspective, would require drastically nerfing them. If we get them in normal gameplay, like any other skillpoint, they should only be as powerful as any other skillpoint. |

" It costs, what, just 2 chaos or so to 'earn' your ascendency points these days? You sure are some champ to be able to muster up 2 chaos to spend. No offense, but what you say makes no sense when others can simply just run it for you. P.S. Furthermore, the lab really isn't a challenge and you can cheese right through it, at least for me. That is one of the reasons why I find it so painfully boring to suffer through. Such a challenge to earn the ascendency points, lol. |

"That's an idea. Have 50% reduced effectiveness ascendency nodes available from outside the lab. If you want the fully effective nodes, you'll have to pass the risk/reward gating from the lab. Half the uptime, half the damage, half the AoE, half whatever bonuses you get. Sounds reasonable. Maybe even half the whining, but I doubt it. " I believe your best point made is that about the portaling out or alt-F4. My view is that the labyrinth is primarily a test of does your build have enough life regen or movement speed? If not then traps will be a pain that might kill you. Izaro is similar to any other new boss. So, assuming "nerfing them" means nerfing ascendancy points, I would agree with that. Or, alternatively, have a similar difficulty area with three phases of Izaro with no portaling or alt-F4 out for an alternate method to ascend from the current labyrinth. I think that would work as well. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
