Zerphi + EA is broken (proof of concept, 60k - 100k heal per second)

DOn t take it like a rude comment guys, but why are you not trying to create counter builds instead of trying to copy builds.

Shin build is unique and IMO the best way to understand it would be to create a counter to it first.

I would think the best pvpers would first create counters, not try to make same.


Also shin main strong point it to flicker on your face all the time until you die. Flicker strike is a main point of his build.

So maybe people know flame dash hurt a lot LA users coupled with other bow skills but most of time we see copy cat builds on forum not "how to counter" builds.

Imo let those who find a good build enjoy it and focus on countering them.

First of all, with this thread I mainly wanted to discuss the defense of your build through Zerphi, not your complete build and your offense.

This build is still very new to me, and open to many adjusments, nothing is final in the post except the key uniques.

I know some mechanics are hard to understand / follow by most of us, but I think I have the mindset for it. I also observed the unknowns you mentioned, the cull effect of the mana cost, and the flask effect deactivation when I reserve too much mana and get hit so mana gain maxes our the mana pool.

Atm I think best spell to use will be either Incinerate of Flameblast (Inci has 1 less mana cost, but can use GMP for higher multiplier and a bit mire cast speed) because they provide a good cost / speed ratio, and the lowest cull range you mentioned, and I will also scale more cast speed rather than mana cost.

Looks like the EA dragon is indeed sleeping still, as Lib who has the most potential to make it with her gear level is not convinced yet.



Lib, with the level of jewelry I currently have, and sorting out resistances elsewhere (not impossible at all imo), you would easily have more EHP than you have currently without MoM, just make that money you have work. Also balancing the mana to not hit zero is unncessary and mostly impossible to carry out as not only you would have to get 30% mana gain but with actual damage taken from enemies you would need an enormous mana pool, which wouldn't regenerate reliably once depleted, and even If it would, it means the heal flask effect turns off. Just resign it's 0 as far as eyes can see it : )

About shin's offense, I tried to use Molten shell as well, but didn't figure out how to get the damage per hit to the level he has. I know that armour and phys mit through endurance charges play a big role in his build as they mitigate scold damage, and also effect the molten threshold to trigger much sooner. I also heard some gear choices he is using, but that is up to him to reveal.

This build is countered by those who oneshot / burst it down faster, for example Lib's EA can kill it sooner, or what I personally matched against was fyndel's BV build, no matter of using Aegis or not, that's just too much damage to mitigate / block on life based.

Also the build I'm trying only partly matches shin's as I use diffent items, skills, so only the Zerphi heal and it's necessities are the same pretty much.

As far as what he said about "create counter builds", well I'm not sure there is necessarily 1 "build" to counter it, however there are several tactics you can use to counter with any build.

AFAIK, there are only 3 ways to kill a build like shin: 1-shot, out DoT his life gain (i.e.: con effect vortex/ca), and kill him while he's moving.

Because any pathfinder (op) with witch flask nodes have capped block in a bottle with legacy rumi's, unless you're using Mines/Brood Twine/unblockable attack, you're most likely wasting your time doing damage by hitting him.

If he is standing still, you will most likely not kill him. You must focus on killing him while he moves since life gain happens while he's stationary, swinging his arms back and forth. Using Blink Arrow to escape is a bad choice too because he will eat up your clone, gain charges and flicker to you faster than you can say, "WTF!" :)

For example, if he's rampaging towards me I just cast vortex with aoe, lw to one side of it and back and forth, making him run over my vortex while chasing me, he will often die.

HE was a guild thief, always stealing guild stash tabs items if you made mistake to let it open.
HE also insulted us because we were in public parties without inviting him.

I remember he try a flicker strike build in pvp but when flicker dagger got nerfed he quit pvp.

like markusz already told you earlier, you dont want it that much because you cant get high enough mana pool (zerphi turns off when you receive a massive hit and you end up with full mana due to 37% of damage taken gained as mana)
