I was just tagging on because it's the same problem and I thought it made sense to get one reply rather than having people post the same replies to multiple threads and cluttering up the forum.

Guess common sense isn't prevalent around here.

Hi Xyothine,

Just to let you know that even though an issue may appear similar it quite often can be caused by different things and to make it easier to assist you further please post in a new thread.

nope. Running Avast

Damn, there goes that theory.

Lately, there "seems" to be issues with win 10 (maybe) and AMD cards (This game has a history with wonky stuff with AMD cards). That's the best that I can give you right now. I am on win 7 and run an XFX r9 290 and don't see these issues. :/ As Kellog pointed out here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1703669, I was thinking win 10 or driver as well, but it may just be a symptom of something else.

I am completely stumped and am out of ideas. :/

All of your temps on the vid card and your CPU are good? You aren't getting thermally shutdown at all?

I was just having the exact same issue and a system restore fixed it. Seems a Win 10 update that I did last night broke things somehow, because it was affecting all my games. If Win 7 got a similar update it might be the cause. It is not a AMD specific issue though, I'm running Nvidia.

EDIT:scratch that, after a couple hours the problem has returned.

Temps are ok on everything. Like said I can play Dragon Age: Inqusition maxed out without any issues.

Tried clocking down my gpu and also reduced power consumption by 10%. Nothing worked.
I had issues also on Win7 before I updated to win10. I have had this issue since Masters were released.

I am assuming it might be PoE code and my AMD card and maybe whole system not getting along.

Sadly currently I do not have possibilities to test this out. Would be still better to find root cause from game side rather than me changing my setup.
By chance are you playing the game through steam? I have tried playing the game through the and alone client and my problem went away (for now). Going to try disabling the steam overlay and playing the steam version again.
I had the same trouble about 3 weeks before. Ive tried to do everything, but I solved my trouble after updating bios. I think that it can help you too
made separate install from here. whole PC froze when log in screen came on.

not much fond of updating my BIOS.
