Game is Freezing - Hard Reboot Required
had a game freeze 2 days ago, hard reset required to get back my pc.
i'm on i7/gtx780, i blame it on the high temperatures in europe, did not happen ever since.. no indicator of what may have happened in win logs or anywhere else age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" If it was just a single occurrence never to be repeated, it may well have been an overheating issue. Personally, I keep a very close eye on my temperatures, with a constant display within the game and I've never seen anything higher then 60C for the GPU and quite a lost less for the CPU. |
|
" This will probably be unproductive, but you should check the Application, System and Hardware Events logs in the Windows event log. |

Thanks, and I have checked the event logs.
I did email with support and they suggested VSYNC off being an issue and over taxing my GPU. I play around with VSYNC on games a lot, as it can be taxing itself. So upon GGG email support request, i installed HWMonitor, changed to windowed and enabled VSYNC. Issue went away. Turned off VSYNC and issue didn't return. Not sure what the actual resolution was, but it's not happening anymore. |

" Good to hear. Personally, I've always played with window/full screen and vsync on. Let us know how things go. |
