path of exile.exe has stopped working after patch 2.3.2

after the 2.3.2 patch my game will not start anymore. windows dialog "path of exile.exe has stopped working" appears instantly every time i doubleclick the PathOfExile.exe or Client.exe .

i play since openbeta and never had such problem.
i don't use steam.
i allready tried runing it as admin. and i tried replacing/overwriting the PathOfExile.exe with the PathOfExile.tmp .
what else can i do now (besides reinstalling it. what i will test tomorrow)???

SOLVED:
i had to activate the "Windows Management Instrumentation" service(WMI) which i disabled a year ago or so.

reseting all Windows services to standart via a windows-service-configuration-tool will do the trick.

Can you get a screenshot of this? Could help in finding out what's going on.

Also, are you playing through Steam?
i don't see what a screenshot will show you, besides the windowsdialog that says "path of exile.exe has stopped working".
i never used steam.

Check the Windows Event/Error logs.
Same problem here after yesterday patch :(. I play via steam and havent had any problem with it yet. Reinstall didn't help.

It's actually an Access Violation. More often than not, when these occur, the application in question was trying to access some memory address that was unknown or attempting to do something that may only be executed by privileged code etc. At that point, the cpu goes tits up and does the best it can with a bad situation. Not something easy to fix without knowing more.
But so it's pretty interesting it happend after patch...I play about 1month and everything were ok. I disabled DEP and update drivers-still same error. Do you suggest any other soultions for this? Should I try standalone client?

it works now!!! :D

i fully updated my windows and all drivers and it was still crashing.
i deinstalled poe and deleted all poe related files and it was still crashing.

after i reseted my windows7-services to default windows 7 it started normaly.
( i have not yet figured out what service caused the problem )

to reset my services i used a "windows 7 service config tool"
