[3.1][ALL MAP MODS]End-Game Lazy Chieftain Flame Totem Build

Hey,

I'm using a very similar build (Nerdbros) and I was wondering if anyone could give me advice for gear/tree improvement? I'm just not seeing the damage and survivability that others are talking about and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong :(

I've got a couple of Gem slots open because I'm messing with them trying to find something that works.

Any help would be deeply appreciated!!!

Maybe you can help me in design own version of dual flame marauder.
Generally,there are two concepts:

1) Use a spell like Ball Lightning to curse enemies and trigger Elemental Overload BL + Curse on Hit + Flammability + GMP/Increased Critical Chance
totem setup- FT + Empower + Fire Penetration + Controlled Destruction + Faster Projectiles + Iron Will
Good thing about this setup is I need not care about cirt multiplier,also my totems fully gain bonuses from attacking ignited enemies.Also they'd be buffed by two more multipiers.

2) Allow totems to score crits by picking Shaman's Dominion,and use Scorching Ray + Cast while Channeling + Flammability (+other curse maybe?)
totem setup in that case - FT + Empower + Fire Penetration + Elemental Focus + Faster Projectiles + Increased Critical Stikes/Damage or Iron Will
Question is,will Scorching Ray cause burn status with Ancestral Bond?Would be great as it'd make Ngamahu work with Elemental Focus.

You have huge experience in playing Dual Totem build,therefore you'll better than me judge which of these concepts is more promising.Or perhaps none of them.
Great build, even though it can become really expensive I got to T15 maps with no problems with an ordinary 5L Infernal Mantle.

However I noticed something, what's the point on using pierce for bosses? I mean, the totem itself says "100% chance of projectiles piercing", I'm not really into the game mechanics so this may be a dumb question. I tried using SP for bosses over pierce and noticed a small difference damagewise, even with just 24~26k dps.

I'm saving fusings for a 6L right now, any idea how much damage I would get from it? Guardians is pretty impossible with my current gear, Atziri is quite easy and Uber Izaro can be a pain sometimes. I got 5k of life and 1.5k ES at lvl90, even with great life rolls, my jewels suck though.

not sure why you are using faster projectiles instead of controlled destruction. controlled destruction is more damage/dps and you only lose 5% crit and doesn't require you to gear for dex

Small correction: If I use Controlled Destruction I lose 7% crit because of Increased Critical Strike Chance linked in Flame Totem Gem.

I using Faster Projectiles because I need AoE. I have good enchant in my helm 150% increased buff of my lightning golem (+25% cast and attack speed). Cast speed really boost my DPS and I need attack speed too because of Whirling Blades. In my opinion Faster Projectiles still better for mapping (+70% Totem Range). My damage is fine, T16 Map:

If You need more DPS Controlled Destruction is better choice. I recommend this tree (because of Sniper Node):

Now You have +50%(20% Snpier + 30% enchant) Projectiles speed and better DPS and most importantly You don't need DEX (no DEX no Vaal Haste/Grace but it is not a big problem)

Flame Totem without +bonus projectile speed in my opinion suck at all.

still doesn't add up.

at level 52 if i use your gem setup (no empower,iron will atm) the tooltip dps on my totems is 2382

if i replace increased crit and projectile speed with faster casting and controlled destruction, it's 3335

ALL gems are 20 quality and the same level.
