and some people say the reach is going to be nerfed, where does that information come from ?

Looks like a nice build! I am going to try it this league.

I made some rough calculations (hope they are correct) with gear/tree/gems from the first post with
a) 6L Council
b) 6L rare thicket bow (+master crafted as, +flat chaos damage) (gmp instead of fast projectiles)
c) 6L Voltaxic (gmp instead of fast projectiles)
Here some results for council

Rare bow is 1.7 times worse than Council, Voltaxic is a bit better than rare (~10% + chance to shock). But their damage is still good (consider they cost almost nothing compared to council). So i guess voltaxic is the best choice to start league.

Also Chin Sol at close range makes almost the same damage as Council, so swapping to it vs bosses should help a lot.

Hey, good calculations. Do you take into consideration the 100% chance to hit of Glare? They would seem pretty equal with Voltaxic. Not to mention the points you save.

I am concerned if they would nerf poison not to stack... Looking at the essenses with 40% poison dmg increase seems they prepare for a nerf.

Yes right, no idea how RT slipped my mind.
Now just cross fingers projectile damage double dips or we have to re-build a bit the tree and replace drillneck...

I read the patch note and see that poison dmg has been reduced to 8% of Phy dmg (fr om 10%), so sad I just try this build for a few day :(

Pierce support nerf
Poison nerf
Reach of council nerf
Frostwall nerf

With the same setup ~20k DPS / 6.5k poison DPS per stack now.
