[outdated]King of the Forest: Poison LA ReachZerker 7kLife 250MS

Great build anyone on the fence about it should not worry it can do anything, only thing I find better for me is using Kintsugi instead of Queen of the Forest as I couldn't get used to the speed and kept running into packs lol, The clear speed is only bettered by CoC and flicker strike, I'm currently sitting at 19.6k dps unbuffed, only thing that costs loads after reach is top end jewels. Kintsugi also make uber lab easy ran it solo at level 79.

Builds like this are the ones that will get RoTC nerfed as it's tanky as hell and the clear speed is insane, when I tried RoTC with a Ranger I was always squishy when immortal call was on call down.

Gear level 83,

Will post jewel's later on.
What if I want to change of skill just for fun? I enjoy the dot thing and I'm thinking of trying with caustic arrow. Maybe try and grab a few chaos damage nodes too. What else could be fun to toy with?

split arrow, burning arrow, ice shot, vaal burning arrow, tornado shot, barrage, shrapnel shot to name a few.

ice shot and vaal burning arrow are especially interesting, because they both work like LA when combined with frost wall

Hi cmphx

I tried messaging you in game to say thanks for making this build. Your original dot point about ranger builds being frustrating as they were one shot glass cannons is exactly why I went looking for a new guide and thus found this thread :)

I'm very new to the game (this will be my second character I'll properly level, my first was a raider TS) and was wondering if you might break down the gearing goals a bit more for some one a bit newer to the game to help out a bit.

At the moment I have found the majority of the equipment and have leveled to 60 as melee, I'm looking to switch over to ranged soonish (I've spec'd all the way over to the ranger node to Entropy and will start on the peirce node soon for the Drillneck - It's probably the wrong way to do it but I'm having fun and don't know any better at this stage haha)

Had a quick question on gearing stats, am I after evasion bases, armor bases or energy shield bases? Or do we just not care? Maruaudy archer does what Maraudy archer pleases? (Edit - I think I figured this out, we want Evasion bases preferably as we'll get a 50% armor penalty by using Acro?)

From your gear it looks as though I need to prioritise the following:

Belt
- Life
- Tri Res (to reach cap)
- Reduced flask for 3 quicksilver charges
- Energy shield/STR/INT/Armor or Evasion bonus?

Boots
- Life
- Tri Res (to cap)
- Movement speed
- STR/INT/Armor or Evasion bonus?

Rings (aside from unique ring which i won't have for a while) & Ammie
- Life
- Int (looks like most int req comes from jewellery)
- Tri Res (to cap)

Jewels (you've broken these down, thank you, but will include here to make sure I have it right)
- Life
- Proj Dmg
- Res (as needed to meet cap)
- Int (as needed)

Chest
- I'll be using Tabula until I get a decent chest, I have Lightning Coil and Daressso's but it seems as though that might not be needed unless I really need some additional defence.

Can you please review the above and let me know if I have my priorities straight :) Thanks again for making this guide and helping out those newer to the game with such content.

im going to try this with Assassin + Crit + Toxic Delivery.
Feel bit bored with Tornado shot.
Playing this, at 78 atm doing great! especially after mercilab. Im a little bit scared as when i should go into uber though. And can someone please explain why no Phase-Acro? Seems better to go phase acro.

Hey there ! Welcome to PoE and I am glad that you like my build idea so far :D I made leveling trees on the guide i think and once you have the basics (acro, life nodes, pierce and some damage nodes) you can spec into the build, should be around mid 60s where you can also equip all the uniques.

Gearing bases actually dont mean much. Energy shield and armour are pretty much useless because of acrobatics, so only evasion is useful.

However, the biggest part of your total evasion will come from grace and queen of the forest in endgame, so the other pieces dont mean much in comparison. Thats why i think you can just go with what works best for you. You should keep in mind that rolling red sockets is much easier on an armour based or armor/ev or armor/ES mixed base. CWDT-immortal call-increased duration is 3 red gems, so to save yourself some chromes, at least one of your gear pieces should bbe armor or armour hybrid base (like devotos for example). This kind of "chrome-economic" approach is the smartest thing to do for this build i think.

Yep. I think a leather belt is the best base for that. Energy shield is completely useless, armour also is nothing but a tiny bonus, evasion or INT is not possible on a belt. extra crafted movespeed is icing on the cake. Extra strength is good. Life+resist is most important here.

Just keep in mind that resists, strength and "reduced flask charges used" are all suffixes, so you can only have 2 resist and the flask one if you want to use it. If you have troubles remembering/identifing what stat is a pre-or suffix and what is craftable on what, i recommend you this site: http://poeaffix.net/index.html I learned alot from there and I am still using it when i am unsure about things.

Exactly. For an endgame option try to get 80 Life, 30 Movespeed and as much resist as you can get. Those can get pretty expensive quickly, so try to search intelligently: find boots with open suffix where you can craft extra resist (or intelligence through catarina) on it. Dont spend too much currency on boots. High evasion is nice on it too, but as i said before, its just a bonus and really not needed.

yep, Life/int/resist. if it also has flat added physical damage thats good. If the ones you find seem to be too high in price, lowering the life on it will help most i think to find cheaper ones.
Endgame you can craft flat added chaos damage on it through elreon lvl7, but it costs 13c to craft.

Jewels yeah i already made a detailed post about it, you got the idea. To save money you can try to buy a blue one with life+proj damage, and hope for a lucky regal

If you use a tabule, i highly highly recommend using essence worm + grace, or you will feel a bit squishy with not much evasion. Do you have a reach of the council btw?

If you have great troubles capping resists or gearing in general, you can also start with using a rare helmet with life/resist/INT/high evasion, and use devoto at a later point when you have more resist on the other pieces, thats totally doable.

I hope that helps ! I am busy irl atm so im not online much, feel free to ask more questions here or if you catch me ingame

try uber lab once you feel comfortable with the build and you got at least 6000 hp, better 6500-7000.

Edit: Oh and please please please use decoy totem in uber lab. I already wrote alot about it, i cannot repeat my self enough. Check out the videos i made how to use it.

Also, do not use bloodrage in lab. get frenzies by shooting frenzy

you can go phase acro if you want to but i never felt like i would need it. the build is not set in stone, you can change around many things in tree/gear etc.

Thanks! That will be very useful for quick checks. I have been using http://www.exilemods.com as well for the possible roll ranges, though at the moment I'm still figuring out WHAT can roll where, let alone the actual roll ranges, haha.

I actually bought an Essence worm last night when I noticed the Grace gem in your gear (just a small aside, it's not listed in the gem setup but you do mention it later in your guide) so have that which hopefully will help.

I don't have reach of the council yet as it's too expensive at the moment so bought a Lioneye's Glare and will spec out of Resolute Technique into Deadly Draw as you've suggested. I have most of the main nodes now and will spec into the jewel nodes as I can afford them.

Devoto's will be a while off as will ROTC so am trying to get 'comfortable' with the build so I can farm and work towards these :)

Thanks again for your reply and help!
hey bruh nice build !

Think its reasonable to use cospris will to poison and take another pair of gloves?

dual curse + poison seems pretty good
