Died last night... uber lab trial this time... quitting poe again

lol get good mate
Sorry, I happen to like most of the labyrinth. I like that it adds a dungeon of random rooms that changes out every day, I like the concept of rooms having things like treasure door rooms and treasure key rooms, I like how Izaro battles change every day and I like how traps force you to play differently rather than mowing down armies of monsters to go from A to B. Unlike most people in the forum here, I'm perfectly fine having to run this giant deathtrap in order to unlock ascendancy.

Now, bear in mind I said I like most of the labyrinth.

The biggest problem I have with the labyrinth is that it's trying to push a "hardcore lite" on softcore players. PoE servers are not 100% stable and not everyone has top-notch internet connection, and I feel the labyrinth brutally punishes players who so much has a lag spike or the server itself wants to have a stroke. While I think traps are fine, they are a recipe for disaster for players with poor internet. I personally feel that if GGG added "checkpoints" in the labyrinth, perhaps after every successful aspirant's trial, people would like running it a lot more.

----

As for the uber labyrinth issues in the OP:

I also agree that this is another layer of RNG we shouldn't have to deal with on top of the aforementioned issues I mentioned about the labyrinth. This isn't encouraging people to want to run something they don't like.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.

I do not have to play content that is horrible and far beneath the normal great PoE gameplay. That is just the way it is. No matter what you might think.

The F*** lol.

Great POE gameplay @ Facetanking or Kitting @ One key mash-up.

Ok you don't like the lab we got it. But seriously lab requires more gameplay than all of POE together. Perhaps Loltziri is pretty interesting though.

I mean POE is primarily about creating a char both form a build and item perspective. It's not as if the "gameplay" was any complex hahaha!
Lab is alright. I like that it changes every day. Also it is completely optional. No one has to do it.
It's a good benchmark to test out how well your charachter's doing too.

Died @ 86 with 5.5k life, crapton of regen and 3 life flasks.
Got stuck in between two traps w/o ability to get out. Don't use blink arrow in uber lab trials guys, it's bad for your characters. Aka Nice bugs Kappa

Now I regret that I've rage quitted, instead of screenshoting that.
Its hard to play this game seriously now. I dont even care when i die, because i dont really care about poe anymore.

Fun game but nothing to spend money or a lot of time on. I was going to buy the currency tabs (came out when i quit) but now it doesnt matter.

I did the lab (3 times) the first day it came out, not going to even bother with the uber trials because i will probably uninstall for 2months again.

Poe was a great game, but its not going to last if this is a direction the game is going. Only the hardcore gamers deal with annoying stuff because they dont really have anything else to do in life.

PoE is still at it's core, a great game.

However, I feel that it's gone off the tracks.

It's a shame because it has the opportunity to be the best RPG ever.

Currently....

I'm pretty burnt out just from leveling.

I don't like endless grinding for little reward.

It's not too late for this game to come good again.

It *may* need a bit of a shake up in the dev and balance department, and in the top end management, to get it back on track.

That is a small price to pay for success in business, though.

If your team leader is completely out of touch with the greater majority of his player base...

Or just ignores them and dubs them a "small vocal minority"...that's a recipe for disaster, imo.

+1 about the dumb gating. Finding those is a pain.

-1 about the lab itself I like it. Don't talk for others.

lmao, you mean "I like the lab because I play a Juggernaut and I can just walk straight through it without even trying. Don't talk for others."

people are so fucking blind I swear.

every single person who crys about loving the lab play 1 of the 2 character types that can face roll it and not even have to deal with anything the lab itself throws at you. would you like the lab if you actually had to "play" it? (wait what? some people actually have to do the lab properly?) as it was intended, and for it to be extremely deadly for minor mistakes? haha.

Didn't think so.

Exactly this. The idea of the lab is cool, but the engine just doesn't really support it. If the labs had waypoints like any other map I'd love them.
May your maps be bountiful, exile

45% attack speed is one support gem, you'd take nearly TEN POINTS in the passive tree to reach that kind of power, and it's not even as good as multistrike. Compare that to melee physical damage or critical damage support that are mostly doing the damage of two good notables AND are a more multiplier...

this was my favourite part.

I think they have set the lab a little too hard tbh. Im fine with it as it is but people need it easier, the amount of hate is substantial. I dont run normal lab till Ive finished cruel, I dont run cruel lab till Ive finished merciless, I dont run merciless lab till Im well into maps because if you play it at the right level for your character you will almost always be in potential 1 shot territory from the boss. So Im fine with it but even I am overleveling for it every time.

I like that its easy as fk for melee builds and then shits on everyone else, we needed some rewarding content like that, but the ascendancy points are too important for it to be so build gated and overly difficult.

I rly love the lab though.
