Just to add to my previous post: the Steelskin buff does not add to Mortal Conviction. So I'm using that now as a defensive buff instead of vaal grace.

I kinda switched the gem setup, though. My boots now have increased dur > enduring cry > steelskin > vaal cold snap.

One last thing, your guide seems to imply that Tukohama's Fortress gives you Mortal Conviction as well as Blood Magic, but not all of them have the new mod. So you can still play with Tukohama's without MC if you want to. The new version seems to be more expensive as well; the cheapest right now is 3ex on poe.trade.

the ones without the mortal conviction are the old legacy shields only available in standart

I played with pob a lot and swapping off the GOOW shield onto Tukohama you basically lose 25% dps, several auras just to add another totem. There is no combination where this shield overweights the GOOW, in fact you can get a rare shield with amazing perks and stats instead and grab the bloodmagic nodes to get +20% max life on your tree. prove me wrong.

in no way i said it offers more or less dmg. it just offers another playstyle as you can read in my guide

You do realise that the DPS is just an estimated indicator, right? It doesn't calculate the fact that you've just gained another totem which is able to attack on its own. Besides that, it's just inaccurate by nature. Adding a totem is always worth a loss in the calculated dps, simply because you gained an extra totem. You will still be doing more damage, even though the loss in the estimated DPS.

Of course they are, that's basically what I said myself.

Lots of people play in standard. I don't play games that often so I don't like having everything reset on a regular basis and just stick to standard instead, otherwise I would never progress because the league will end before I get anywhere worth mentioning.

makes sense in your case, but most poeple play league, so i write my guides especially for league and not for standard, because if i would do it for standard it would confuse ALOT more people than just a few standard players

Hello again !

I am now doing t8-t10 maps and would like to know something :

is this a good idea to now switch from 'regular 'tree skill to the blood magic one (im lvl 78) ?

It seems to have better dps output (shield % and elem %), a bit less of resi% , and the same amount of hp talent wise.

What is the general difference between those 2 exept the mana ofc?

I will try to do uber lab now (4k1 hp , 49k dps), i fear a little lack of hp regen with the traps , but i think my dmg output will be ok for boss.
Lets try to fish for the boots and helm enchant :D

Great guide , i recommend it to beginners, all you need is either a tabula OR 5L, facebreaker and some phys dmg everywhere + the resist, and the build works well for all map mod (hehe duck you reflect) .

the main difference is that one uses blood magic and the other mana :D but you should only switch to the blood magic version if you have the shield "tukohama fortress" ;)

can probably add a xoph's blood to save 2 points (avatar of fire) and respec 4th ascendancy from Ash to Pen to get +15% more
What's the point of using Avatar of Fire? When I pick the node, my dps gets drops in half.
