thank you very much for your builds :)

What is the difference in damage between the blood magic versions in comparisons with the others?
and which version has the zerker or chieftain better damage?

chieftain is dmg equal i think. the blood magic could have a bit more defense

berserker's blood magic have a bit less dmg with a bit more defense compared to the normal berserker

overall zerker has still more dmg

quick question seems like you stil recomend zerker for farming ulab even after the new rework , is the 25% heal really that needed for u lab or could the new chieftain get the job done as good as the zerker ? i usually always used the old zerker version for heavy ulab farmimg (party/individual uberlab carrys) so i guess my question is is the zerkers still the better choice for carrys ? (my bad on that long ass question lol)

its definitly NOT needed for farming the lab. i just prefer it because i feel safer with the warcry heal ;)

edit: btw the new Pulverize Gem could be a possible contender for the melee physical dmg support

Question: I do not see anything about the Pulverise Support gem or maybe i missed it.

This gem sounds like a good replacement to increased Area of Effect gem doesn't it?

Also curious to see if the Tukohama activation buff increase changes how far vaal warchief will leap to the next mob.

1) its because its not out yet. not ingame and not in PoB so we cant test anything. but yes, it sounds like a good (maybe a better) alternative
but it would not switch it with "increased area/conc effect". i would switch it with melee physical dmg in the beginner versions and with dmg on full life in the blood magic versions

2) i have no idea sorry :D

I played this build in the past and normally if you get a couple of alch or find your first chaos orb you can simply buy facebreakers, but what if either the droprate is lower or the value of the item goes up what is a good alternative until you get facebreakers?

Would you recommend a different route until you get them?
Thanks for answering my questions and updating your build as always! You are the best. I was thinking at work today about a more pure physical build in 3.7... something like this. Thoughts?

https://pastebin.com/yFu57mtr

1) Since pure phys we could use impale support. With the tree nodes as well, it gets 90% chance to impale, and 67% increased impale effect. This means that bosses will effectively take 0.5 * 1.67 = 84% MORE physical damage

2) Can use the new really strong pride aura (effectively 40% more damage on bosses, 20% more damage to regular mobs). I don't hate the idea of flesh and bone etc., but the thing is we only get one free aura. We arguably want it to be the best possible...so being able to make use of a really powerful 50% mana reserve one seems ideal.

3) Since no avatar of fire we get to use slightly better flasks (ToH, Aztiri, etc)

4) The build makes use of pulverize for maps, which I think will be quite superior to basically anything else for clear speed. The damage multiplier isnt as great (.85 * 1.45 = 23% more multiplier) compared to the ~50% multipliers on other options, but the fact that it gives 34% MORE area of effect is crazy. For example, with the tukohama node, the other 2 AoE nodes, and increased effect skill gem, thats around 100% increased area of effect. So in total, we are at 200% area of effect. Then add in a 34% MORE multiplier and we hit almost 300% area of effect...that seems so crazy good especially with the increase to unarmed range we got in 3.7. Damage is rarely an issue with this build for clearing, so I think the vastly increased AoE is going to be worth it

5) Also, we can get a lot more life in the physical build. This is because in the ascendancy tree, we go the "endurance charges" path which gives us a free way of generating charges (link added fire to shield charge). So using all the free skill points, I can easily get over 7k HP. I also take the "gain endurance charges when hit") nodes for extra consistency

Do you think this could work or will avatar of fire be better?

not sure if we can generate impale stacks / banner stacks as totem players, but lets test it ingame and if its like you said im more than happy with it :D

Dread banner allows your totems to impale, but you can't get the banner stacks, either way it would be used to cap out your impale chance to 100% for the full 110% more damage (factoring in the support gem and increased effect)

Also, I'm not sure if Herald of Purity is going to work with the new blood magic, as it doesn't have the aura tag.

i think this could work very well, but would also the opposide way i want to play this build, the big advantage by going full fire in that you are reflect proof which is a huge QoL in terms of maps imho.

besides that i mentioned on nearly every page in the last day that i will try pulverize in the build as soon as ive tested it ingame or pob is updated and i see the numbers ;) just in case i would lvl the gem while playing and switch it with melee physical dmg later or conc effect. we will see which feel better

Yeah that makes sense. One of my fav parts about your avatar build is that both types of reflects are irrelevant so you basically never have to re roll a map. But I expect this season I'll be making a cycloner for speed map clears later on once I have a lot of currency, so my warchief league starter will be for clearing the atlas missions and end game bosses. So that is why I was thinking about the physical build since the single target DPS will be hard to beat. Might as well abuse it until impale gets nerfed lol.
