uber lab ruined this game for me

It would not be so bad if you only had to do it with one character to unlock the final 2 points for your alt characters, but to force people to do this extremely tedious and boring lab with EVERY hero is just not fun at all to me...

To make things worse with 90% phys reduction, 18k+ armor and nearly 5k hp and get once shotted isnt fun at all..

Back to marvel heroes and d3 unless this shit gets changed..

Not likely to get changed, go back to playing those causal games I guess if its to difficult to actually learn the mechanics to avoid the 1 shot scenarios.

An argument can be made that ascndency points aren't really optional, but those final 2 points really are. I haven't decided if I'm going to bother with the endgame lab yet. Those points are kinda bonus points.

Yeah fuck trying to understand the mechanics of the challenge, its bullshit I have to actually try and play instead of facerolling the content like everything else in the game.


It won't ever be "fixed" so you might want to find something else to do.

Don't try to spoil my sore grapes illusion. :-) I hate the labyrinth so much that it really doesn't take much to convince me not to go in there. "Hmmm, I might have to pee or maybe someone will want to trade for something in the next few hours, I'll try the labyrinth next week."

Edit: I hope that GGG has figured out that labyrinth is damaging their player retention. The 2.3 release was finishing up the piece of the labyrinth that slipped out of the 2.2 Ascendancy release. The first chance that GGG really had to do something about this is really 2.4. My expectation is that 2.4 will have an alternative way of getting ascendancy points that won't involve the widely hated labyrinth. Please just ignore the hateful posts telling you to quit or if you do quit, check back in 2.4 to see if GGG fixed the problem.

I already have. It's a Mario + sonic game that is coming up and it's gonna give PoE's lab a run for its money.

Now that's a game GGG can't compete with and puts lab to shame.

I hate all this lab/trials thing, but I have to agree with one of the guys above.

The last 2 points are really not necessary. Although, you still have to do the merciless one on each character. At least, now you get all the points running 1x only.

In my opinion they should remove all of this asc update. Game is way too broken now.

There is one thing to have mechanics, but another to get one shotted without a chance to even do anything. How is there such a huge disparity in damage taken? I can take a hit that does at most 25% of my hp to one that just does 100%?

I understand there are high end players out there who ROFL stomp the game, but to me that content should be completely optional... those 2 points really push your character into the next level imo, so in my mind its a must have.

if they want uber lab the way it is.. make it OPTIONAL only with the bonus roll on gear.. but NOT skill points.

What do you mean without a chance? The only attacks that do considerable damage are telegraphed with a wind-up.
You also have the option of equipping more defensive gear pieces/changing your tree around a bit. It's a character building game after all.

You talk about high end players. Endgame labyrinth is high end content. If you don't want to become a high end player to defeat high end content, then ask/pay someone to escort you through.
Or skip it. As others have said, ascendancy points are pure power creep and not necessary to play the game at all.
