Get ready:
- Minesweeper mini-game coming to PoE in 2.4. Clear hardest level board below 50 seconds before you can equip items.
- FPS in 2.5, you gotta kill 20 players in a row with a headshot before you can put gems into your socket.
- RTS in 2.6, gotta kill them Zergs before allocating any skill point.


I was trying to make a point, but I guess it was a bit too much...

What I was trying to say is that after much time spent playing the game and leveling a build, the game should not change to a completely different playstyle just to allow further development of the build.

- challenges

strawman. Give me ANY test that challenges my ability to slay mobs. I'm there! I run right up to Shock and Horror and slap her in the ass! Lab is a challenge that uses a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SET OF SKILLS as compared to the rest of the game. If I wanted to play games that focus on those skills, I sure as hell wouldn't be playing Path of Exile. I would be playing some crap with jumping puzzles in it.

People want to expend effort, but they want rewards commensurate with their effort. And the effort in PoE has always been about KILLING MOBS and not dying. Derrrr!
