[2.3 HC] Reflect immune Slayer Blade Vortexer. Budget, Tanky, All Map Mods. Video guide included!
" Hey! Sorry you are a bit confused, I will go back and look at those sections and try to make them clearer. We take Vaal Pact because we run the lifeleech gem and curse-on-hit warlord's mark. Once you swap to your pledge of hands and have done merciless lab I would run: Blade Vortex-Life Leech-Controlled Destruction-Increased Crits-Poison Until you do merciless lab I recommend increased aoe in place of one of the non life-leech gems. The build has lots of flexibility though and all the options I list in my guide are viable. However, the above setup is what I would recommend for general clearspeed and boss killing! If you find that you want more duration/aoe, by all means use increased duration or increased aoe! Hope that helps, HecticHippo Check out my Path of Exile content: Youtube→ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvjw16UAePp9xwXYDAklJkg Twitter→ https://twitter.com/HecticHippo Livestream→ https://www.twitch.tv/hectichippo Last edited by hectichippo#6433 on Jul 3, 2016, 3:46:06 PM

lvl80 in Hardcore right now doing basically this exact build.
Feeling rather strong after I suited up with some pretty decently expensive gear (5L LC, some fancy boots, a nice diamond ring, etc). I'm happy with how its running. I really like how you grab int/dex/str all over the tree pretty naturally so you're always up on your stats (cept dex if you go shadow side last). Duration with vaal skills is hilarious. Damage is strong, the AoE is hilarious. Probably need to swap in poison for inc effect once I do Merc lab. I could drop Inc Dur and get more damage too, probably. By the way, Lab is rather easy with this build. That 20% cull makes the last fight last a few seconds max since Izaro starts at like 33%....just need to do ~13%, your fat stack of blades takes care of that before most any of the scary stuff can happen usually. Feels ridiculously tanky in certain situations (5k life 1.8k mana), solid clear speed, clowny levels of AoE if you go all out on it. I was telling my friend I think I could stand outside of Voll's smash and hit him once I finish Merc Lab and get 20% Bvortex. It is hilarious. Now I'm just taste of hate dreamin and filling out the rest of my tree with life, crit, and dmg. To the guy asking if he thought Vaal Pact was necessary: Dude try it, it made me feel way more tanky, my life would hardly ever move because of how frequently we hit. If you're in HC I'd say almost certainly required (unless you got that gangster atziri gloves)....in SC, do whatcha want! The only con with this build is the movement skill leapslam is kinda wack since you have bad attack speed, so you gotta roll with a movement speed flask. The 20sec onslaught helps, especially in maps, so just chase the onslaught dragon the whole map and your clear speed is rather high. Last edited by gmofosho89#7520 on Jul 8, 2016, 4:47:32 PM

" You could drop vaal pact if you want and also drop the life leech gem. However, blade vortex is ridiculous with leech and vaal pact so I wouldn't recommend it if doing hardcore. However, you certainly could and it would be fine! You just couldn't face tank as easily. Check out my Path of Exile content:

" Yep! Blade Vortex is a ridiculous skill. Glad your having fun with it! Also yeah no movement skill kinda sucks but I don't mind being "old school" and using a quicksilver :D Check out my Path of Exile content:

I'd like to try a Duelist/BV and that's the most "reliable" build I could find, do you guys think the build is still decently viable ? (T13/14)
Thanks for any info about your thoughts on the build in 2.4 :) (Im a noob more or less, so I dont know if something in the 2.4 patch definitely killed Duelist/BV possibilities) |
