Act V Hype? :3

There is another one in Zana's new dialogue (I think it's the Research topic): She mentions the Ossuary and the Temple of Innocence, and as Innocence is mentioned in the artbook announcement, I guess those are two Act V areas.
A sword he brought, his foes to maim and rend,
from places dark behind forbidden doors, But night by night he woke with frighten'd roars from darkest dreams, too strange to comprehend. (Anonymous) |

Chris during "Lioneye's Watch" podcast said that next update will be normal challenge league and GGG is preparing big update for next year. "Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. And the reason
is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms." |

once they release act 5 they need to consider how much content exists
in the base game before endgame. where once we were done the base game after dominus (or piety before that) we started mapping at ilvl 66. new content showed up massively and the maps got set to 68. the goal of maps is largely to keep us occupied until the base game is more fleshed out. so act 5? the question is will maps move up to ilvl 70 or all the way to ilvl 75? the new base game areas in act 5 are gonna have to be 70+ |

I wonder when they will open the game up (a la Skyrim) and let us begin at Lioneye's Watch and then wander wherever we want in Wraeclast doing quests as we see fit. Give us the entire map at the start. Better characters could go to harder places. Maps would be folded into regular play and drops scaled to player level. A standard story line could be laid out, but could be abandoned at any time. Waypoints could provide fast travel interesting places. One rout between two cities might be a long gorge populated with beasts while another would take you through jungle.
They have a cool world, and I hope one day we get to play it all as we see fit. They could still do races, but the ladders would have to change. Anyway, that's my two cents. I am looking forward to Act 5 though. :) "Gratitude is wine for the soul. Go on. Get drunk." Rumi

Yeah Zana hinted great things, she whispered "lube" to me.
Really looking forward to it! |

" (I might sound as a slowpoke, so don't judge me :D) I think (after reading the second answer), that Act 5 will be the last "last" act in the game a.k.a "the end". So if i got it right (right now) - when GGG said "we want 10 Acts", maybe they meant 2 difficulties and 5 "acts". So, technically, we approach the conclusion of the whole story... I might be wrong. I wonder how would they "extend" the story\gameplay after that if i'm not wrong. Remember, suffering is convenient.
That is why many people prefer it. Happiness requires effort. |
