Latency Problems (Trace Route in thread)
I understand they are different networks. You stated that I was being routed through Europe. However, the ping is similar to Frankfurt as it is to California. So I don't see how that is possible, if indeed I am going through Europe.

Because if you look at all the traces, they're all the same up to the Frankfurt node.
That becomes the baseline for all others. Anything else is just additional to that start. NetworkLayer has a great network, so once the packet gets into it, the latency increase to get to other servers is small... but getting to Frankfurt is not. That is the majority of your latency. Just read the trace and look at the latency between all the nodes in all the traces. The incremental latency between nodes is tiny except getting between the two nodes I outlined. |

I second OP! the ping has been doubled for me in all gateway since friday. (65 to 130 in SGP, 150 to 300 in Australia, 248 to 500 in Texas) And was back to normal about 30hrs ago.
