Bleed & Poison Duration
Hi,
I want you to ask the base duration for bleed coming from other sources like items instead of Puncture gem: gamepedia says 5 seconds gamepdia link (foreign link warning) after some Tests the real duration for Atziris Disfavour, Voidheart and from passives is 3 seconds. And I want to clarify that effects like bleed and poison coming from items cant be modified by skill duration or duration supports ? (like less Duration with eq while using voidsheart) Bleed from skills like puncture should be able to be modified in duration? Poision Duration gamepedia says 2 seconds gamepedia link (foreign link warning) Gamepedia says poison duration can be modified by skill effect duration. This is wrong! Only poisoning coming from poison Support can be modified that way! Poison from items like Voidheart or Cospri's Will cannot be modified in duration because they are not skills. WRT duration not working on item-granted bleeds and poisons, here are some things to test:
-Does item-granted poisons and bleeds get the effect from duration if the skill used has a duration tag? - Is it different between passive duration and support-modified duration? IGN: Ikimashouka, Tsukiyattekudasai, DontCallMeMrFroyo

after some tests with EQ, less duration and bleed it seemed bleed duration wasnt affected.

The thing here is the duration tag.
Take Righteous Fire as an example. Righteous Fire does not work with Rapid Decay, because it has no duration tag. However if you use Righteous Fire with Spell Totem, the support gives the Duration tag and thus it does work with Duration. So if you just attack (most attacks don't have a duration tag) you cannot increase or decrease the time of bleed and poison (unless you get specific Bleed or Poison duration, not sure if that's possible though). If you use an attack like Earthquake that has the duration tag the duration of Poison and Bleed can be changed. This was used in extreme by Consuming Dark and Firestorm. The poison is on the item, however since Firestorm does have a duration tag your Skilleffect duration applied to Firestorm and Poison. This interaction though is kinda stupid, since it means that poison only really benefits from this effect if it benefits twice. You will never use skill effect duration with a spell that gets hurt by it (like Earthquake), so for any attack based build Poison naturally sucks, because they cannot increase the duration of it, since they either use a skill that does not have the duration tag or wants to have a low duration. Does anyone know if poison duration benefits from specific skill gems and ascendancies? For example quality on Abyssal Cry and War Bringer from Berserker?

You should ask for clarification in the pinned mechanics thread. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1676002. If anybody can tell you what's supposed to be true, Mark can. And it will give whoever updates the wiki correct information if it's currently wrong.
