Mechanical Questions Thread

I have some questions.
I use fire trap gem and i see on gem description: "114 to 171 added fire damage against burning enemies"

I have one gloves with this : "46 to 75 added fire damage against burning enemies"
With gloves and without gloves the damage is same.

My questions are: these are two values (on fire trap and on gloves) not add up? When working these damages?

Because it need a condition ON ENEMIES so the tooltip won't show you the true dps. For example, if your trap hit 2 enemies, one immune with burning and other one is not, so which dps on 2 enemies is the true dps you deal ?
hi, whats the difference between shaped atoll and non shaped for example? only more exp and rares item lvl? or something else too?
also have a question about windripper - its says quantity from frozen, does it means i exactly must freeze enemy with crit atack? not just chill?
also - is there any sense to wear new bisco? or shaped amulet with rarity and 7 quantity is better?

Is the Arc spell gem the same with any of the mobs, like galvanic ribons or arcmages.
Have tried to test it for a while but cannot confirm 100% if it is the same with the spell gem and the arc the mobs has. If i have read the site correct https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Raise_Spectre. It should work with mobs aswell, but i i do not believe i have seen a fork from the mobs but rather the chain.

You either do Double Damage, or you don't. You can't do Double Damage twice for 4x (or 8x, 16x) more damage.

But if you have 50% chance to do Double Damage from somewhere, and 25% chance to do Double Damage from somewhere else, they will add together for a 75% chance to do Double Damage.

I think the double damage can stack but it depend on the conditions. In this case, the condition is the same (% chance to double damage) so agree with Abdiel_Kavash that those chances are sumed.
But with a weapon like https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Frostbreath, which deal double damage to chilled enemies (different condition), i believe this double damage can stack with other ones.

Based on Mark_GGG's analogous explanation for Infernal Blow at https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2157665 the answer would be "Yes" and "Also for Ailments," but I'll admit these reworked skills' descriptions have so many parts to them that it would be nice to get official confirmation.

Is the critical hit chance for a trap thrown with cluster trap calculated for each individual trap, or do they all get the same roll when they're thrown?

Do cold snap and vortex ground effects stack with each other?
I don't kno abot vortex, but cold snap DoT ground effect stack with itself. If you cast 10 times cold snap, enemy will take 10x DoT damage (with spell cascade this goes triple more).

It is intended?
