I really like GGG for running a free-to-play game with only cosmetic micro-transactions, but I do think they deserve to be called out for this mobile game gacha-style crap. If you have a gambling system, you need to state the odds up front, otherwise you lose a lot of respect from me.

This. People can do whatever they want with their money,but if i go play let's say roulette on a casino i will think that the system is random.
Each number has the same odds to appear.
If numbers 1-10 have much less odds than the others because there is a secondary mechanism under the table then the system is not random and the dealer should clarify this.
Else he is scaming me.
That is what GGG is doing for years with these boxes and they didn't have the honesty to state the odds.
People think it's completely random while it's not.

Brought boxes before. Now I know for sure that I wont be buying these unless the system is overhauled, I would really like to support them. These boxes are just random, thats fine. But out of all the boxes I have only ever gotten duplicates. Dont get me wrong, not talking about the money. I just feel the box system is really cheating me.

A couple of things come to mind about these. First, with respect to the armor aesthetics, I'm going to quote one Jaqqour Strawbridge from the relevant Facebook posting:

"GGG you should really consider the DOTA treasures model, where you don't get duplicates until all base items are unlocked."

I wonder, then, if there is some way for the 'dice' to check to see if you have (for example) the Obsidian Seraph gloves anywhere, and if so, to treat any future results of such from a box as 'roll again'.

Second, stackable consumables should automatically stack as appropriate. For example, if you get 4 soulercoaster packs (15 each, max stack 100), there should be one stack of 60 in the inventory.

Well I have burned about 2k points and man chances for getting each mtx are not equal. I got mostly consumables and cats.. I feel it's not rewarding to buy those boxes unless you don't expect anything particular to get (like the wings). I rather would like to buy wings directly for 2k than fill my shop stash pages with crap. You guys think items from those boxes will ever appear in shop?

Couldn't agree more on the Dota2 box system, we really need this. There are so much things in this box, people will still buy alot of them to get what they want. And people puting alot of money in it would be rewarded. Now get me straight, this is the first and last time i buy boxes, i like to gamble, i understand this is the princip of thoses boxes, but how it's done for now is just stupid.

Anyhow, kinda happy i got the full seraph armor.

Now about the MTX tabs: I think we all agree we NEED a tool to sort everything out. I don't know, how hard is it to implement it (just do like the in-game stash tabs)? Don't GGG people like order like normal people do? Everytime i open my MTX tabs, i die a bit in the inside.
